After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 106

They had no intention of actually burning their bridges.

The male staffer gritted his teeth. "How do we know you don't have a backup?"

Aria's expression was calm. "I wouldn't say a word even if you formatted all the data."

"Because your data is garbage."

Aria showed no mercy, immediately clicking open the data on the computer. "You can't even replicate my work at the level I was at, and that's the simplest task."

"You're even using a machine that's nearly a decade more advanced than what I had, and your precision is still worse than mine."

Aria's lips curled. "I would never use such garbage."

The male staffer's eyes fell on the data, and he recognized it as one of his own past experiments. He immediately flushed with embarrassment.

Hazel's so-called innovation was just increasing the dosage, a flawed method Aria would never use.

As for the data, using her old data would yield better results than any of this.

Hearing Aria say this, Mira felt a rush of satisfaction.

Back when she was painstakingly replicating data, these same people had mocked her, asking why she was working so hard.

Now the tables had turned, and it was their turn to feel the heat.

"I've seen how you handle data. You have the nerve to talk about taking credit? What a joke!" Mira said. "If you dare cause any more trouble, I'm going to tell Dr. Reaves!"

The staffers exchanged glances, preparing to leave.

"Stay put," Aria stopped them, then reached over and deleted all the saved data from the computer. "From now on, you are not to say you had any part in this experiment."

Mira felt even more gratified.

The fewer researchers on a project, the more prestigious it was.
