After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 130

"Does Lilith have seven months to wait?"

With that, Roxanne pushed Hazel into the hospital room.

"Give her the medicine now! I can't bear to see Lilith in pain! Even if she's going to die, I want her to go peacefully!"

So what if she was addicted?

As long as it made Lilith a little more comfortable, she didn't mind her using the drug indefinitely.

Gideon raised a hand to stop them, but his phone buzzed.

He glanced at the message.

It was from Aria. A rare occasion of her messaging him first.

[Aria: I want to see you in half an hour.]

It came with a location pin.

A veterinary hospital.

Gideon's eyes turned to ice. She had taken that damned dog after all!

His gaze, now cold, fell on Charles. "Charles, control your dog. Don't let it bite people again."

After sending the message, Aria waited at the veterinary hospital.

Gideon pushed the door open, his eyes immediately landing on Rufus, who was lying quietly by Aria's side.

He was having fluid drained from his abdomen, and a large bag was already filled with the bloody liquid.

Gideon's brow furrowed. "What's going on?"

"Charles never took him to the vet," Aria said, her voice low. "And he doesn't just bite people randomly. It's because…"

"I didn't come here to listen to this."

"On the contrary, why are you so determined to keep this dog? Is it because you two are rekindling an old flame?"

"You think if you take the dog back, Charles will see you in a new light? What's the difference between you and this dog? Both of you just begging for scraps of his attention?"

Aria clutched her cheek, unable to believe Gideon could say such things.

When she married Gideon, she had already let go of her feelings for Charles. All she felt for him then was guilt.

But in Gideon's eyes, she had always been a fickle, promiscuous woman!

"You bullied Flora because you knew she liked Charles. Now you think Lilith likes me, so you're bullying her, too."

Gideon's tone was certain. "I'm not Charles. I can see you for who you really are."

Aria couldn't take it anymore. She swung her hand and slapped him back. "Are you done? Do you think I'm negotiating with you? I don't care what you think, but right now, no one is taking Rufus away from me!"

"Gideon, in my eyes, you and Charles combined aren't as important as Rufus!"
