After Being Replaced I Left Them All Behind-Now They Regret It novel Chapter 117

Chapter 117

Noh saw the screenshot Maxwell had shared in the group clot

She had already come across his original post, as well as the replies from the other too

Since they followed each other, it was impossible to miss

The intention struck her immediately. It was clearly a performance staged for Alicia’s benefit signaling that then attendance had nothing to do with Nicole.

But why doesn’t anyone stop to think about what this means for me?’ she thought bitterly

This time, the hurt cut deep. She lay face down on the bed and let the tears.come.

She couldn’t understand how things had shifted so suddenly. Before, they would never have treated her this way.

Ever since Alicia started threatening to cut ties, everything had veered into uncertain and uneasy territory

There was a time when Nicole had quietly wished Alicia would simply disappear from the Hammond family, leaving her as the sole young lady in the household.

But now, that no longer seemed like a clever move at all.

Maybe it was better to keep Alicia close. A constant contrast would only make Nicole’s graciousness and restraint shine brighter against Alicia’s willful theatrics.

Unable to contain her frustration any longer, Nicole typed out a message to her mother.

Her phone rang not long after.

After a brief exchange, they settled on a plan, one they would set in motion at Leo’s birthday banquet the following week.

On the other side of the silence, Alicia hadn’t bothered checking X, but she did notice Maxwell’s message in the group chat.

Its purpose was just as clear to her.

But it made no difference to her now. Whether they came for Nicole or not was irrelevant.

Their whole charade wasn’t for her sake, nor was it about sparing her feelings. It was simply a preempuve move to avoid another outburst.

What they failed to grasp was she only made a scene when she still cared.

And Alicia didn’t care anymore. She had no energy left for their games, and no desire to engage.

Chapter 117

The following day, before the show began, the audience started filing into the theater in advance

8 voucher

Tickets for the performance had sold out in under ten minutes when they were first released

Alongside fans of the trainees, many supporters of Nicolas and other celebrities had also turned up

Kevin and the three others arrived somewhat late.

By the time they got there, the show was about to start, and nearly every seat was already taken

Only four spots remained vacant in the reserved family section, so they made their way over

As they approached, they noticed Jason sitting right in the center and their seats happened to be placed right next to his.

Without a word, the other three gently nudged Kevin into the spot directly beside Jason.

After sitting down, Kevin looked over at Jason and spoke up. “Mr. Farrell, here for the show too?”

Jason turned his head slightly, his tone indifferent. “Came to see Alicia perform. She gave me a ticket.”

The four of them were certain he had done it on purpose.

What they hadn’t expected was that the only ticket Alicia had asked for was meant for Jason.

Of the group. Austin disliked Jason the most, not because of Nicolas, but due to professional rivalry.

Austin was a well-known heavyweight in investment circles, yet Jason was often referred to as the top authority.

Both came from prominent families and belonged to the same generation, which inevitably invited comparisons.

Despite being several years older than Jason, Austin had always been overshadowed by him.

While Austin had carved out a successful career of his own, mentions of Jason were invariably accompanied by admiration, as if the two weren’t even operating on the same level, a fact that rankled Austin deeply.

Hearing Jason’s remark now only fueled his irritation.

Sitting beside Kevin, Austin turned toward Jason, his expression cold. “Since when did you and my sister get so close?”

He added pointedly, “Whatever your intentions are, I suggest you stay away from her.”
