“The most ridiculous part? The ones who kept coming for Alicia, throwing the worst shade at her, were Nicole’s fans.
“Next in line were Nicolas and Maxwell’s fans.
“Did any of them ever speak up for Alicia? Is that what you call a ‘good sister’, a ‘childhood buddy’, a ‘good cousin’?
“So Alicia’s strong, and that means she’s fair game for all the hate?
“Whatever you do, there’s always receipts.
“I can dig up the truth, so don’t act like you couldn’t do the same.
“You’re just so used to picking favorites that you don’t even want to face what’s really going
“You keep trying to sweep everything under the rug and fool yourselves, but is that really fair to Alicia?
“Alicia was always way too good to you, spoiling you all the time, never setting any boundaries.
“You got so used to it, you started thinking she’d always be there for you, no matter how you treated her, just because you’re family.
“Why should she have to?
“Alicia was never mad at Nicole. What really made her give up was losing faith in her own family.
“She doesn’t care about you anymore, so she went ahead and cut you off, just like that.
“Bottom line, she’s done spoiling you. That’s all there is to it.
“I’ve got a video of Alicia talking to Diana from a few days ago, I’ll send it to you by email.
“You can watch it for yourselves.”
He added, “Oh, and just so you know, the one person Alicia absolutely doesn’t want to see is her old man–the one she cared about most, but also the one who hurt her the deepest.
“So there’s really no point in trying to meet up or reach out.
“That’s it.”

the video to Kevin.
Once he was done, he saw Alicia beaming at him.
He couldn’t help but laugh. “Guess I got a little carried away. You don’t mind, do you?”
He really felt bad for Alicia.
If he ever had someone who treated him that good, who always had his back like that, he’d never take them for granted.
Alicia chuckled. “Not at all. Honestly, thank you for saying what I’ve always wanted to say!”
If she’d said it herself, they’d just accuse her of throwing a fit again.
She’d tried speaking up before, but every time she got misunderstood, so she gave up trying. What was the point, anyway?
Just like Jason said, they always took advantage of how much she cared about them, which is why they could be so openly unfair.
She joked, “Never thought our famously aloof genius would ever go on a talking spree like this.”
ノ
Back in the day, Jason had a reputation for being totally untouchable.
Jason let out a helpless laugh. “Who else but you would get me to do all this?”
Alicia’s eyes twinkled with amusement. “For me, huh? Well then, dinner’s on me-my way of saying thanks!”
Jason grinned. “So, are we eating out or is this a home-cooked deal?”
Alicia arched an eyebrow. “Eating out, obviously. If I cooked, you might not survive the experience.”
Jason blinked. “Why not? Aren’t you a master at herbal dishes? Your regular cooking must be amazing too, right?”
Alicia had whipped up herbal meals for him a couple times when he wasn’t feeling well, and honestly, they tasted so good you’d never guess they were healthy stuff.
Alicia gave him a helpless look. “Not even close,”
