21 Chapter 273
273.Chapter 273
Alicia held the test report, thinking she needed to dig deeper.
This was all about the grudge from her past life. She had to get to the bottom of it.
This time, the miracle doctor had been forced out into the open, but he was still just as dangerous. She had to get her defenses ready ahead of time.
She wasn’t about to get blindsided and killed all over again.
She pulled out her phone and called Kevin.
Even though she’d wiped their numbers from her phone, her memory was so good she could still recall all their numbers by heart.
After leaving the office, Kevin didn’t go home. He really didn’t want to deal with Nicole and her mom.
Instead, he went to stay at his own place away from the family house.
When he saw Alicia’s name pop up on his screen, his eyes instantly brightened with delight.
He didn’t waste a second picking up. “Ally!”
Alicia got straight to the point. “Hey, Kevin, does our grandpa have any secret kids?”
Kevin blinked in surprise. “Secret kids? No way, at least not that I know of.”
‘Seriously, I’ve never heard anything about that, not once all these years, he thought.
“Go ask your dad about this,” Alicia said, her tone firm. “It’s really important-don’t let him dodge the question.”
It wasn’t just about her-this was a big deal for the whole Hammond family.
Kevin could hear how serious she was. “Okay, I’ll talk to him.
“But my dad’s phone is off, so I can’t reach him right now.
“I’ll let you know once I’ve asked him.”
“Okay,” Alicia replied.
She hung up without another word.
Then Alicia dialed up Jason and laid out her suspicions.
She asked him to help find out if her grandfather had any secret kids.
When it came to legitimate heirs, Leo was the only son his mother ever had.
Leo didn’t have any brothers either-the Hammond family line was always passed down to just one son each generation.
It wasn’t for lack of trying-they just couldn’t have more kids.
It wasn’t until Alicia’s mom’s generation that there were finally four children, and their grandparents were absolutely thrilled.
They doted on her mom like she was a miracle.
So if Julian really was connected to the Hammond family, or even to Leo himself, the only real possibility was that he was her grandfather’s illegitimate son.
On top of that, Alicia was planning to set up a paternity test for Leo and Julian, just to find out if they were actually related by blood.
She already had Julian’s blood, but now she just needed to find a way to get some of Leo’s hair or blood for testing
At least she’d made a breakthrough-she was getting closer and closer to the truth.
Alicia kept studying Julian’s blood, hoping to find the truth hidden within.
Meanwhile, Nicole and her mom arrived at the hotel where Julian was staying, just like they’d arranged.
Julian opened the door and let them in.
After Nicole and her mom finished crying and begging Julian to help them stay in the Hammond family, Julian finally looked at Mavis and spoke up.
“Are you really sure you don’t want to leave Leo Hammond?” he asked, looking her straight in the eye.
Mavis, her eyes still red from crying, said, “Yeah, I really don’t want to leave him.”
Julian said, “Then I’ll make sure he never leaves you for the rest of his life.”

Mavis looked puzzled ‘How could I possibly make him always stay with me?’ she wondered
Right now, her husband didn’t even want her anymore
Julian didn’t mince words. “When I treated him, I kept a trick up my sleeve with his medicine
*Just add one more ingredient to it and give it to him-he’ll never be able to leave you.”
Mavis was startled. “You actually tampered with his medicine?”
She pulled Nicole close, shooting Julian a guarded look. “What do you really want?
“Are you trying to use me and my daughter for something?”
She wasn’t naive-nobody does something for nothing in this world.
If this guy was offering to help them and had already tampered with her husband’s medicine, he clearly had ulterior motives
‘Like I’d ever let him use me and my daughter, Mavis thought, her guard up.
Julian let out a mocking laugh. “Now you’re finally acting cautious, huh.”
Mavis frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean? Do we know each other or something?”
Julian got to his feet. “Just wait here for a moment.”
