Chase grinned at everyone. “Now that our trainees and guests are paired up, it’s time for our guests to play a game.”
He continued, “You have two options. First, the trainees can choose whether they want their mentors to sing or dance.
“Second, both production teams will discuss and pick one MV for everyone. The guests will have to sing and dance at the same time.
“We’ll give the guests a fixed amount of time to learn it, and when time’s up, they’ll perform and show us what they’ve learned.”
He asked first, “Which one do you trainees want?”
The trainees shouted without hesitation, “The second one!”
The second option was way more exciting, just like what those two guest groups chose before.
Plus, they wanted to see what their chosen guests could really do.
After all, learning something on the spot like this was a real test of skill.
Chase naturally wanted to play the second option, too.
But he still looked at the guests with a token gesture and asked, “What do you all think?”
Nicolas shrugged and said, “If we’re gonna do this, let’s go big. I’m in.”
He mainly focused on acting these days, but singing and dancing had never been a problem for him.
Maxwell was a top celebrity in the esports world, but he was also good at singing and had learned street dancing back in school.
The guests from the other three teams didn’t have any objections either.
If anyone backed out now, they’d basically be admitting defeat before the competition even started.
Felicity had already been leaning toward the second option anyway, and she particularly wanted to stand out in the upcoming solo performance and put Alicia in her place.
She wanted everyone to see just how professional she really was.
This time, the trainees and guests all agreed.
So Chase and Marley got together to discuss the details.
They decided to follow Nicolas’ suggestion to go big, and honestly, they were happy to do it.

Once they’d worked out most of the details, Ross and the others went off to prepare.

Chase walked onto the stage and said, “Some of our guests here are better at singing, and some are better at dancing. But after pairing up with the trainees, the performances for the public showcase will basically require both singing and dancing.”
He continued, “So we’ve decided to randomly select from the MV tracks that the production team prepared but didn’t end up using, though they were already adapted. The guests will learn these tracks.
“Not only were the songs adapted, but we also had dance instructors choreograph dances for them.
“We’ll play them on the big screen first so everyone can watch them together, and then we’ll send the videos to each of you. You’ll have one hour to prepare.
“After one hour, we’ll start with the guest from Team 1 performing on stage.”
He smiled and added, “Of course, one hour is pretty short, so it’s unlikely you’ll learn everything. So you can pick out one section of singing and dancing to showcase.”
Then he changed his tone and said, “But of course, if you can perform the entire track, that would be even better.”
When he finished speaking, the trainees looked excited, as if they were ready to watch a good show.
‘The production team really knows how to stir things up,’ they thought.
Learning the same song within just one hour would be incredibly challenging for the guests.
If someone learned slowly, they might not even master a single section well enough to perform it in that time.
But this format would directly reveal which of the eight guests had the strongest singing and dancing skills.
None of the guests objected to this setup.
Simon and Hannah seemed calm about it, since they were primarily actors anyway, so they’d just do their best.
Nicole had debuted as a singer, but after watching Alicia join a girl group, she’d taken dance lessons herself, so she could handle this kind of challenge,
Only Darren looked utterly miserable. He leaned over and said quietly to Alicia, “Alicia, performing a solo song and dance is killing me.”
He wasn’t exactly socially anxious, but he was definitely an introvert through and through.
