After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret novel Chapter 61

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Wayne Warner

"See that? She’s already lasted two hours,

pretty impressive, right?"

With that, he shouted down to the stage below:

"Mindy, someone’s here to take your place,

you wanna come up?"

Boisterous laughter erupted from the men around them.

The young woman on the stage looked up helplessly.

The light had gone out of her eyes, and her movements to dodge the zombies had become mechanical.

However, someone quickly objected:

"Mr. Quinn, letting the new girl take over without letting her play with us first...

wouldn’t that be a waste?

What if she doesn’t know how to play and dies in less than two minutes?"

"Yeah, let her play with us for a bit."

"That woman, Belle, died almost as soon as she went down yesterday.

My heart still aches for her."

Seeing that his companions didn’t want Nina Jacobs to enter the ring so soon, Seth Quinn could only say with feigned regret:

"Sorry, Mindy,

looks like you’ll have to hold on a little longer."

"Mr. Quinn, speaking of which, I have another candidate in mind."

Blondie walked over.

Nina Jacobs heard him mention Wayne Warner’s name to Seth Quinn.

"That Wayne Warner... he ate my food, drank my water, lived under my roof,

and he still dares to betray me, time and again?"

Seth Quinn smashed the wine glass in his hand.

"It’s fine. Luckily, the people he let go were caught and brought back by us."

Despite the loud music, Nina Jacobs could still hear their entire conversation.

The security guard, Wayne Warner, had let several women captured by Seth Quinn escape.

But Blondie had found out.

Wayne Warner was soon brought into the first-floor hall.

Following Seth Quinn’s orders, a man hoisted the already bound Wayne Warner up by a chain, leaving him dangling in mid-air.

The chains were incredibly thick, each link as wide as a man’s wrist.

Then, a girl of about eleven or twelve was brought in.

"Brother?"

The girl’s eyes filled with fear when she saw Wayne Warner hanging in the air.

"You bastard, Quinn! You’re not human! Why did you bring my sister here? If you have a problem, come at me!"

Wayne Warner screamed his lungs out.

Distracted by the commotion, the young woman in the center of the hall was grabbed by the ankle by a zombie.

"AHH!!"

The young woman’s bloodcurdling scream rang out.

The men in the viewing area grew excited.

"Looks like she’s finally reached her limit, huh?

Game over for Mindy~"

Seth Quinn watched the young woman being torn apart, his eyes filled with madness.

"Look, look! She’s about to turn!"

A man who was clearly out of his mind clapped and laughed.

"So, who’s the next plaything?"

Seth Quinn walked past Nina Jacobs from behind.

"Do you have any idea what you’re doing?"

Nina Jacobs clenched her fists.

’I could kill Seth Quinn, but there are too many thugs around, and they’re all armed.’

’Now isn’t the time to make a move.’

"Don’t be in such a hurry. Your turn will be here soon enough."

Seth Quinn pointed below. "Look, the fun is about to start again."

Down below, the young woman from before had already turned into a zombie.

Unrestrained by chains, she was quickly drawn to Wayne Warner and the little girl on the floor.

ROAR!

Seeing the female zombie lunging toward her, the little girl burst into tears with a WAAH.

"Run, Jade, run!"

Wayne Warner wanted to save his sister, but hanging in mid-air, he was completely helpless.

The girl started running in the opposite direction, but the hall’s doors had long since been locked tight.

Watching the helpless girl run and hide below, the men in the viewing area laughed with even greater excitement.

"You goddamn animals."

Wayne Warner’s throat was already raw from shouting.

The more he screamed and cried, the more excited Seth Quinn, Blondie, and the others became.

"You want to save her?"

Seth Quinn seemed to sense the fury radiating from Nina Jacobs beside him.
