After I left, the twin Alphas went crazy novel Chapter 122

The students shifted uncomfortably in their seats, glancing at each other nervously.

The realization that Sophia was not only backed by someone so powerful but was also part of such a respected lineage made them feel even smaller.

The headmaster turned, his face flushed with indignation. "Well?" he snapped at the crowd. "What are you all waiting for? Apologize to Miss Sophia immediately!"

Slowly, the head teacher, the one who had looked the most embarrassed since the beginning, stepped forward, his eyes downcast.

He cleared his throat, his face flushed as he began,

“Miss Sophia… I deeply regret my failure in preventing this incident. I didn’t realize how easily such hurtful rumors would take root. Please accept my sincerest apologies for not safeguarding your dignity.”

Sophia met his gaze with a calm, quiet composure, saying nothing as he laid a stack of neatly arranged papers on her desk.

"I've recompiled all the materials you worked so hard on," he murmured, giving her a forced smile. "We’ll be reassessing your eligibility for the Principal’s Medal. Rest assured, the process will be fair this time."

The headmaster nodded in agreement, his voice firm and solemn.

“I stake my reputation on this promise. From today forward, any staff member who engages in or allows such partiality will be removed from their position. I won’t tolerate these unethical actions in my school.”

The Director of Instruction, who had lingered at the back, turned an ashen shade. His lips parted as though he wanted to speak, but he quickly closed his mouth, unwilling to meet the headmaster’s eyes.

A hush settled over the room as students watched the powerful figure of Ethan standing tall beside Sophia, all while the faculty, who should have been her protectors, looked on in guilt and submission.

In the crowd, Linda watched Ethan intently. Her heart fluttered, her cheeks flushed as she took in his striking appearance, his commanding presence.

Her envy toward Sophia deepened, and she scowled slightly, unable to hide her disdain.

Why did Sophia get all the luck? Linda thought, jealousy gnawing at her.

Why should she have a brother who was not only incredibly handsome but would come running to defend her honor in front of everyone?

Ethan’s eyes turned in Linda’s direction, his icy gaze cutting through the space between them.

Linda froze, and a thrill ran through her.

Blushing, she quickly reached up, smoothing a few stray hairs into place.

At the mention of her name, Mia’s eyes widened in disbelief. She looked at Linda, stunned, as if she couldn’t believe the betrayal unfolding before her eyes.

“No… Linda, you know that’s not true. You… you clearly encouraged me to believe it,” Mia stammered, her voice barely a whisper.

But Linda’s innocent expression didn’t falter. She tilted her head, putting on an almost angelic look as she asked,

“When did I ever say that Sophia was being adopted by an older man? You must be mistaken, Mia.” She turned to the crowd with a solemn nod.

“I’ve known for a long time that Ethan is Sophia’s brother. Why would I ever say something so awful about her?”

Mia’s face turned red with both anger and embarrassment. She clenched her fists, feeling the room turn cold and hostile against her as Linda continued her charade.

“I… I thought you were my friend, Linda,” Mia whispered, her voice breaking. “I thought… I thought we were in this together.”

“Proof?” Linda shot back, her eyes narrowing, “You’re the one accusing me. If you can’t back it up, don’t try to drag me down with you.”

Just as the tension seemed to hit its peak, a figure moved in from the back of the classroom. It was Lirian, holding a stack of printed documents in his hand.
