After I left, the twin Alphas went crazy novel Chapter 184

“It’s her good fortune that someone like me is even considering investing in her work.”

Lirian’s jaw tightened, and I could feel the tension radiating off him. Before he could respond, I stepped in. “Alina,” I said, my tone firm,

“do you realize who you’re talking to? This is the Alpha of the Iron Claw Pack.” I gestured toward Lirian, watching her expression shift.

For a moment, Alina stared at me, then at Lirian. She burst out laughing, the sound loud and grating. “Are you kidding me?” she said.

“Do you really expect me to believe that? You found some imposter and want to pass him off as Alpha? Do you think I’m stupid?”

Lirian stepped forward, his eyes narrowing. “If you doubt me so much,” he said, his voice dangerously calm, “call your boyfriend here. Let’s clear this up right now.”

Alina hesitated, her confidence faltering slightly. “Why should he come here just because you say so?” she retorted, though there was less conviction in her voice now.

“Besides, Anthony is a busy man. He doesn’t have time for this nonsense.”

Lirian raised an eyebrow. “Anthony?” he repeated, his tone laced with disdain. “You’re sure about that?”

Alina smirked, regaining some of her bravado. “Of course. Anthony is my boyfriend,” she said proudly, lifting her chin. “You know, the future Beta of Iron Claw? I’m sure you’ve heard of him.”

Lirian’s frown deepened, and I felt a pang of unease. His gaze flicked to me briefly, and I knew he was already reaching out through the mind link.

Lirian sent a message through his mind link ‘Anthony are you around?

Anthony quickly responded “ Oh yes brother, what’s up?

Moments later, Lirian spoke again. “Anthony,” he said, his voice steady, “your girlfriend is here. Come handle this.”

The response came quickly. “Girlfriend?” Anthony’s voice echoed in Lirian’s mind, sounding surprised and a little panicked. “What girlfriend? I don’t have a—” He paused, realization dawning.

“Wait. Don’t tell me it’s Alina.”

Seeing the two of us standing there, Anthony greeted us warmly, “Brother, sister-in-law.”

Alina’s eyes widened in surprise, her voice laced with disbelief. “He’s really your brother?”

Lirian’s expression darkened, his tone cutting through the air like a blade. “When did you get a girlfriend?”

Anthony stiffened, immediately sensing his brother’s simmering anger. He knew that calling him here wasn’t without reason, and a sinking feeling settled in his chest. Turning to Alina, he asked, “What did you do to my brother?”

Alina pursed her lips, feigning innocence. Her tone was soft but carried a manipulative undertone. “I didn’t do anything. I just came over to persuade Sofia to invest in our project, and they’ve been finding trouble with me ever since! They keep bullying me…”

Her delicate act was almost convincing, but the subtle arrogance in her demeanor betrayed her true nature.

She conveniently omitted the part where her attitude had been dismissive and condescending.

In her eyes, Lirian, coming from a modest background, would always be beneath her.
