Chapter 249
Elle’s POV

Following the direction of my pointed finger, Martin suddenly smiled and said, this is the Blair family’s true ancient archive collection. Because it’s truly massive, human labor simply can’t manage to walk through the entire facility, so everything there is cleaned, organized, and maintained by intelligent robots. To prevent these ancient texts from oxidizing, that entire area is kept in vacuum. When you want to read something, robots retrieve the books from
the shelves and bring them out.”
Martin walked over and operated something, causing the image on the screen to room in dramatically.
I couldn’t help but move closer out of curiosity, discovering that the entire archie was simply endless in scope.
The space was divided into different rooms and shelves according to era and category. Each room had a numbered robot performing maintenance and
organization.
Everything seemed so fascinating to me. After all, this was something I’d never seen before.
I watched with great interest as those robots went back and forth through the air really giving me the feeling of watching a blockbuster movie or footage
from a manned spacecraft.
To create such a vacuum environment on this small island must have required a substantial investment!
No wonder the Blair family had accumulated nearly five hundred years of wealth without much visible money-it had all been poured into this place.
To protect this place, the Blair family had really gone all out.
After visiting the ancient archive, I rested briefly before heading directly to the alchemy research institute.
After the usual full-body scan, I was completely cleared for entry.
As soon as I walked through the institute’s main door, I saw researchers hurrying back and forth.
As soon as the three of us from the Blair family arrived, someone immediately came over to greet us. “Mr. Martin, Madam, all the equipment is ready. Please
come this way.”
Stella said to me, ‘Let’s give you a full physical examination first.”
I nodded. I’d had enough examinations already. One more wouldn’t hurt.
I obediently followed the researcher into a huge room and lay down on a white
As soon as I lay down, I saw a massive transparent glass dome apparatus descending from above, quickly encasing me completely.
This examination method… was truly unheard of.
The moment I was completely enclosed, all my vital sign data appeared instantly
A needle gently pricked my sterilized finger, taking a blood sample.
The machines beside me began precise analysis.

A few minutes later, all my physical data was complete.
Height, weight, abdominal circumference, heart rate, blood pressure, blood type, en detailed analysis of every component in my blood-everything
appeared.

The researcher looked at the data in his hands, then looked again at me still lying in the transparent glass dome, and couldn’t help saying, ‘My God, this
data is almost impossibly perfect.”
Stella, concerned about her daughter, asked directly, “What do you mean by perfect?”
The researcher handed the test results to Stella, saying, “Both her body and mind are extremely resilient. This should be an advantage brought by her innate genes, and her bloodline contains extremely weak but precious ancient markers. This genetic advantage will also be inherited by the next generation. Therefore, the child in her womb is developing perfectly as well. If nothing unexpected happens, this child will definitely be a genius, and will very likely inherit the powerful genes of a pure-blood Alpha.”
Stella looked dizzy from all the data. “Just tell me the results directly.”
Martin took over the examination report-he could understand it.
The researcher continued, “Whether a person is intelligent or not is largely determined by innate factors. Because brain development has time limits: during the fetal stage, the more brain cells divide, the smarter the child will be. From birth to the first six months is the final division period. If brain cell division is insufficient during this period, no matter how much development occurs later, it will stagnate. This child’s current brain development level and cell division count is already comparable to a normal six-month-old infant. But this fetus is currently only six months along, which means his future IQ could exceed 180, possibly even higher. And from the blood analysis, this child will very likely inherit his father’s Alpha genes.”
Hearing this result, Stella couldn’t help asking, “What’s your IQ?”
The researcher smiled bashfully and answered, “160.”
Martin added, “He’s a double doctorate in medicine and pharmacology.”
Stella immediately fell silent.
I could hear all the conversation outside.
I placed my hand on my belly, never expecting this little one would be so intelligent.
I felt inexplicably proud and happy.
After completing all the examinations, I finally voiced my real purpose for coming
After hearing my request, the institute director frowned and said, ‘Alchemical poons from twenty-three years ago… most have been destroyed or lost. Even those that haven’t been destroyed probably don’t have much left. Are you certain you want to look for materials from that period?”
I answered with absolute determination, ‘Yes, I must!’
The director nodded. ‘However, this will take some time. Please wait in the restea.
I was sent back to the rest area again, watching the busy people outside.
‘Supporting such a research institute must cost quite a bit of money, right?’ I couldn’t help asking.
“Yes,” Martin smiled slightly. “The Blair family sold all the antiques passed down from our ancestors. What do you think that tells you about the cost? And now with werewolf rule, our human families have increasingly limited living space. Maintaining such a research institute has become even more difficult.”

Chapter 249
I suddenly remembered Eleanor’s words about the Blair family’s doom…
For some reason, goosebumps rose on my back.
If the Blair family was doomed, then this place…
‘Dad! If the Blair family went bankrupt, would this place…” I couldn’t help asking would it be affected?”
70%
Martin shook his head. “This is the Blair family’s final retreat. Most of the Blair nily’s assets have already been transferred here. If we goes bankrupt, the wealth remaining here could support us for another twenty years. After twenty years though…” He paused meaningfully. And in this world, for human
families like ours to maintain independence is already quite difficult.”
I immediately understood what Martin meant.
The daily alchemical experimental processes at the research institute were truly aggering. Finding an alchemical potion made twenty-three years ago was
really no small undertaking.
At first I waited patiently, but it wasn’t long before I became restless.
Stella, feeling sorry for her daughter, said to me, ‘Why don’t we go upstairs to wait? This place really isn’t suitable for staying long periods.”
I nodded and followed Martin and Stella out of the institute to wait for news in te upstairs rest area.
Just when I was getting extremely irritated, the director finally came with an ancient potion bottle.
“This should be the alchemical potion you’re looking for. When this potion was developed, it was immediately sealed away. Because its medicinal properties were simply too strong, the damage to the human body was too severe.”
I asked urgently, “Was there a corresponding antidote? I desperately need an antidote. Can one be made now?”

Not sure how the story ended without completing the circle on what happened to Sophia and Lester. That loop was just left hanging... what happened with the Blair contract of having to married Raymond? All Eleanor wanted was a piece of Rayne industries?...
