She knew someone like him was capable of anything, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he really did that to Irene.

He clamped down on her wrist, squeezing so brutally that Eliana was certain he’d just snapped it.

The pain was overwhelming. She couldn’t stop herself from crying out in agony.

The guy wiped at his neck, then got to his feet and delivered a vicious kick to Eliana.

“You b*tch, trying to mess with me? What, you think you can take me out?” he spat.

He said, “I gotta say, I didn’t expect you to care so much. You didn’t even flinch when I was about to make you my toy, but the second you heard I slept with her, you totally lost it.

“And you know what? The more you freak out, the more I want to tell you every filthy detail.

“Never thought she was still untouched. Seriously, I should thank you. If it weren’t for you, I never would’ve gotten my hands on someone so clean.”

The guy just kept getting nastier, twisting everything and humiliating Irene with every word he said.

Eliana couldn’t take it anymore, but he clearly wasn’t going to let her off the hook. He just kept going, deliberately twisting the knife with every word.

She knew she couldn’t win against him, but right now, Eliana was so consumed by rage that she’d lost all sense of reason.

Eliana barely even felt the pain in her wrist as she threw herself at him, aiming for his stomach with everything she had.

He was totally caught off guard, and Eliana actually managed to knock him off balance.

He stumbled several steps, his back slamming into the shelves behind him, and he let out a muffled groan of pain.

Seizing her chance, Eliana grabbed a rusty piece of metal off the shelf and hurled it at him without thinking twice.

She actually managed to hit him twice, but before she could swing again, he snatched the thing right out of her hands.

He lashed out, backhanding her viciously across the face, then drove his foot straight into her stomach.

Eliana dropped to her knees from the pain, but he didn’t stop for a second. He just slammed his foot into her again, even harder.

He didn’t stop until Eliana was curled up on the floor, completely still. Only then did he crouch down, grab a fistful of her hair, and haul her right in front of him.

“I told you, if you’d just known your place, you wouldn’t have to suffer like this. But you just had to be stubborn, so don’t blame me now!” he snarled.

With that, he yanked on her hair with all his strength.

Eliana screamed in agony, her whole body twisted in pain.

But no matter how hard she struggled, he wouldn’t let go, like he was hell–bent on ripping her entire scalp off.

It wasn’t until Eliana was on the verge of passing out from the pain that he finally let go. Then he yanked at her clothes and started fumbling with his belt.

Her vision blurred with red, and through the haze, Eliana could just make out his movements. Nausea and loathing churned inside her, but she was powerless to stop him.

The pain was so overwhelming that Eliana couldn’t even muster the strength to move.

As he came closer, belt undone, Eliana’s heart sank into despair. She squeezed her eyes shut, unable to face what was coming.

With her hands strapped tight by his belt, the guy stared at Eliana, trying to get a rise out of her. “Don’t worry, if you care so much about your friend, I’ll make sure you get to join her real soon.”

He added, “Whatever I did to her, I’ll do to you. When I’m done wrecking you, I’ll throw you out on the street, barely dressed, for everyone to gawk at.

“That way, you won’t have to feel guilty about your friend anymore, you’ll both be ruined, isn’t that fair?”

Eliana could hear every word he spat, but she was so out of it that she couldn’t even move a muscle,

For the first time, she realized she might actually die here today.

If nobody came looking for her, if nobody saved her, Eliana was done for.

Eliana was pleading silently inside, but as he came closer, her clothes ripped and her dignity in tatters, a crushing wave of despair washed over her.

Just as Eliana was about to give up, the locked iron door was kicked open from the outside with brute force.

The lock crashed to the floor with a deafening bang, and Eliana’s heart leapt. Her eyes flew open.

The guy in front of her was clearly startled too, scrambling to his feet and whirling around.

At first, he thought the cops had shown up and looked genuinely spooked. But when he realized it was just Nathan, a flash of menace crossed his eyes. He grabbed an iron bar off the cabinet and lunged at Nathan with it.
