After steadying himself, he looked up at Eliana, putting on a serious face. ‘Look at my hand, it’s a total mess.

Eliana was a little stunned by Nathan’s serious tone. But she got over it quickly, looked at Nathan, and said, “Sure, that’s what I’m here for.

This time, Nathan was the one who was taken aback. He’d just wanted to mess with her, but her earnest response left him a little rattled.

Not wanting Eliana to notice his flustered state, he tried to compose himself, gave a brief reply, and buried his head in his meal, pretending to be completely absorbed in eating.

Eliana finished her meal in a hurry, grabbed her phone, and quickly booked a nurse to come over, even shelling out extra for urgent service.

After that, she just started mindlessly scrolling through videos on her phone.

Seeing that Eliana wasn’t in any rush to leave, Nathan shot her a suspicious look.

He knew Eliana way too well. He didn’t buy for a second that she’d really go along with such a ridiculous demand.

But watching her stay so cool and collected, Nathan found himself genuinely curious to see what she’d do next.

With that in mind, he set down what he was holding, called someone in to clear the table, and then looked at Eliana. “Alright, let’s get started. The sooner we finish, the sooner you can get some rest.”

As he spoke, Nathan stood up and looked at Eliana. “Come over and help me get undressed.”

Eliana rolled her eyes inwardly, but she managed to keep her tone light. “Mr. Turner, relax. It’s not good to shower right after eating. Wait a little while.”

She glanced at her phone and continued, “Let’s rest for fifteen minutes, then we’ll get started. Sound good?”

Nathan could already tell something was up, but he wanted to see what tricks Eliana had up her sleeve, so he just nodded.

Before the fifteen minutes were even up, the doorbell rang. Eliana went to answer it.

At the doorway stood a young guy in scrubs. He looked at Eliana and said, “Are you the one who requested a nurse?”

Eliana nodded and let him in, then pointed at Nathan. “This is Mr. Turner. His arm’s injured. That means he can’t really shower by himself. So I’ll leave it to you.”

The nurse replied right away, “No problem, that’s what I’m here for.”

With a friendly smile, he turned to Nathan. “Are you ready to get started, Mr. Turner?”

Maybe it was because Eliana had paid for the rush service, the nurse was super attentive, even threw in a small bow for good measure as he spoke.

“Get out!” Nathan finally snapped, his face turning stormy.
