Luo Xiaoqian hugged Xu Xia’s makeup bag as she walked into the restroom to one side, standing in front of the mirror. Glancing around and seeing no one, she finally mustered up the courage and quietly began to unbutton the top buttons of her shirt, lifting it to take a look.
She only glanced for a second before she was petrified.
From her chest to her waist, her body was covered in traces left by that man.
Did he think she was a contract to be stamped all over?
Thinking about last night, she couldn’t help but feel her face burn.
In the midst of haziness, she only remembered it starting in the bathroom, then moving to the bed, that man took her countless times...
"Number 13, Luo Xiaoqian, is Luo Xiaoqian there?!" Voices faintly called her name from the restroom.
"I’m here!"
Hurriedly fixing her hair, Luo Xiaoqian quickly did up her buttons and ran out of the restroom, sprinting to the outside of the preliminary round office.
Coming face to face, Xu Xia walked out from inside the door with a smile, making a victorious gesture towards her.
"Xiao Qian, good luck!"
Knowing that her good friend had successfully passed the audition, Luo Xiaoqian was very happy for her. She nodded at Xu Xia, took a deep breath, and pushed open the door in front of her.
Inside was a spacious room with curtains drawn tightly, not letting in a single ray of light. A small stage was set up against the north wall, equipped with things like a microphone and a light board.
On the south side, several tables were spread out, with three people sitting behind them.
One was a middle-aged man with a gentle expression and scholarly demeanor, another was the familiar music scene diva Xu Wen, and there was also a young boy wearing large-framed black glasses.
As soon as she said this, even the cameraman standing behind the camera couldn’t help but lift his face and look at her with surprise.
Xu Wen looked at the girl in front of her, who still had some childishness about her, and lost the interest to ask further questions, "What would you like to sing?"
"I’ll go with Zhang Yusheng’s old song ’Empty Words’," replied Luo Xiaoqian.
Xu Wen shrugged again and leaned back in her chair, nodding her head.
She had looked through Luo Xiaoqian’s information before and knew that the girl could play the piano and write songs. She had been looking forward to meeting her, and upon seeing that Luo Xiaoqian was even prettier than her photos and quite spirited, her interest was piqued. She hadn’t expected, however, that this young woman would turn out to be so materialistic.
Singing for the sake of making money and gaining fame was an answer that had somewhat diminished her interest in the girl.
Luo Xiaoqian took a deep breath and then began to sing.
