Raised in luxury since childhood, having everything done for him, Mo Bei may be smart, but he lacks life experience and wouldn’t have thought about these little details.
The two of them went to the nearby supermarket together, and Jiao Yang carefully helped her pick out various necessities, from large items like quilts and pillows to small ones like toothpaste and toothbrushes. Mo Bei went to the food section and piled up a cart with all sorts of snacks and instant foods.
"Are you planning to eat just this every day?!"
Looking at the cart full of snacks and instant foods, Jiao Yang frowned.
"What else then?!" Mo Bei retorted.
Jiao Yang shook his head with a smile.
Who was he to judge her; five years ago, he was just like her.
"I owe you five hundred and seventy-eight bucks again!" After checking out, Mo Bei put the receipt in her pocket, "What do you want for dinner, my treat? There’s a seafood restaurant nearby and a Japanese place..."
"Let’s have a hotpot to celebrate your new home." Jiao Yang suggested.
"I don’t think there’s a hotpot place nearby."
"No problem, we’ll make it ourselves." Jiao Yang patted the condiments on the shopping cart, "I already bought everything!"
Mo Bei looked at him as if he were some alien creature, "You can even make hotpot?!"
"It’s the easiest thing to make, alright? It requires no skill." Jiao Yang chuckled as he loaded the stuff from the shopping cart into the car, while Mo Bei exclaimed on the side.
"Jiao Yang, do you know how I feel?!"
"How do you feel?" Jiao Yang straightened up, accepting the tote bag she handed over.
"You feel like Doraemon!" Mo Bei remarked.
Jiao Yang laughed lightly, "I’m much cooler than him!"
"I’m not joking, alright." Mo Bei handed him the last bag, "You really remind me of Doraemon!"
