"Thank you, Uncle Zimo." Luo Jun looked up with a small face, gazing at him. "May I give you a kiss on behalf of Mommy?"
In his home, there was a collection of all of Leng Zimo’s music CDs and every movie he had starred in, which his mother often watched with him. The little Luo Jun couldn’t guess his mother’s thoughts and would ask her why.
Luo Xiaoqian could not tell him the truth, so she simply said that Leng Zimo was her idol, and that’s why he wanted to give a kiss to his mother’s idol on her behalf.
Upon hearing the little fellow’s words, all the adults laughed.
"Of course, you can."
Leng Zimo smiled and leaned his face in.
Luo Jun puckered up his soft, mushy little mouth and planted a firm kiss on his face.
After adjusting the child seat’s safety belt for him, Leng Zimo patted his little head, "Goodbye."
Standing up, he did not forget to remind John to be careful on the road in English.
The car started, and after Luo Jun waved goodbye to everyone, he left the Qin family with John.
Leng Zimo, with one hand in his pocket, watched the car grow distant, and raised his hand to touch the spot where the little guy had left his saliva, just shaking his head with a smile.
Huangfu Ruo, Shen Yizhou, and Tong Ya stood behind him, watching his back, glancing at each other; they all saw a hint of helplessness in each other’s eyes.
Only when the taillights of the car Luo Jun was in had vanished around the corner did Leng Zimo finally turn around, smiling at Qin Wanwan.
"Uncle Zimo is leaving too, Princess Wanwan, goodbye."
Tong Ya took his glasses and put them back on his face, "For starters, they don’t wear glasses!"
"I’ll get a pair of contacts tomorrow," Shen Yizhou said.
Huangfu Ruo looked at the two sitting together, her smile tinged with resignation, "Can you two stop it already? You’ve been at this for over twenty years, is there ever an end? Just pick a date and get your certificate, will you?"
"We’re still in the trial marriage phase, no rush for the certificate," Tong Ya said as she took a sip of her tea. "Otherwise, if one day I get annoyed with him, we’d have to divorce, and that would be such a hassle."
Huangfu Ruo rolled her eyes, "There’s absolutely no chance of that. You’ve been bickering for over twenty years; could you really stand to be without each other?"
"There’s no absolute in this matter," Tong Ya retorted with a pout, "Back then, Xiao Qian and Zimo were so in love, and yet they ended up breaking up, didn’t they?!"
