While some people were going on dates, most others spent the majority of their free time training.
The Valov war was still fresh in most people’s hearts, especially those from Terran, who still retained a lot of idealism in their hearts, unlike many aborigines who had seen worse tragedies.
Not just the guards, but the citizens were also in action. Many people had heard that two Ministers had gone out far away (while some were asleep!). Their departure naturally wasn’t publicized, but such a big thing couldn’t be kept secret forever.
Althea and Garan didn’t mind that their departure would spread out, either, as long as there was a time gap in between to avoid some potential trouble, like enemies following after them.
At the same time, some were worried (for them and/or for the departments they left behind), while many were also envious.
They loved Alterra, but they also wanted to see the world!
Of course, if they found out the reason the couple went out, they would not be so jolly.
As for the departments Althea and Garan left behind, they were handled well, and the tasks were designated a month before the two left. Basically, everything had been streamlined, and the processes were so efficient that the absence of a few people wouldn’t cripple the rest.
Even the outsiders who were waiting to watch the show (and possibly take advantage) could only be disappointed that things were working as they had always been.
Anyway, as always, without wars, the hundreds of meters outside the outer walls always had people. This was especially true within the 300-meter space between the outer walls and the loose sentries.
The challenge was that they really had to watch their backs lest they get hit by sentry arrows instead. Fortunately, it was not too hard, especially since the sentries would never target them directly. The accidents would only happen when they blocked an already shot arrow midway.
At this time, Leon and Luke were training their abilities against monsters around their level in this area. (Minister) Ansel also tagged along for old time’s sake.
Apparently, the dude’s wife was too busy with their son to notice his absence, so he might as well level up and increase his presence.
Along with them were Amos, one of the first guards, and they were handling one of the bigger mobs that attacked the walls midday.
Their side was situated far from where the soldiers were fighting, and at the opposite sides of the territory too. However, interestingly, they got quite a variety of monsters to choose from.
They had a few flying beasts, but they also had quite a few running underground.
These monsters were relatively rare compared to the land-roaming alternatives. If one trained around the territory a lot, they might’ve encountered one or two, but it seemed like today’s mobs had a number of them.
