Chapter 112
a Billionaire’s Arms
Louisa’s eyes widened. Doing something? What kind of something” did Julian mean?
As he carried her toward his study, her mind betrayed her, conjuring inappropriate scenes. Was he perhaps… aroused after talking with his boyfriend and needed to satisfy some physical urge?
The darkened living room hid the wild expressions crossing her face.
Once in the study, he placed her on his spacious desk.
Was he planning to do it right there? Louisa’s thoughts spiraled into chaos. All that talk about him being proper and disinterested in women–complete lies!
She was grateful for him saving her life, but she had no intention of becoming his sexual outlet.
Run. She needed to run.
Without thinking, she tried to jump down from the desk completely forgetting about her injured leg.
Julian noticed her movement and reached out to stop her. In the next moment, as their eyes met, Louisa realized her escape plan had backfired spectacularly.
Not only had she failed to get away, but she’d practically jumped straight into his arms.
Julian held her securely, realizing how dangerous her action had been. His tone turned harp: “What are you doing? Have you forgotten you’re injured?‘ Another fall could be serious.
Louisa ignored his concern, desperately trying to reason with him, “Yes, yes, I’m injured, so I can’t do this. I really can’t. Mr. Tudor, you should find someone else.”
Julian replied, “I know you’re injured, which is why you don’t need to move. Besides, Teddy isn’t here–who am I supposed to find in the middle of the night?”
Louisa fell silent. What? She didn’t need to move? Was he planning to tie her up? Who would have thought
the prestigious CEO of the Tudor Group had such perverse tastes?
Wait… he said Teddy wasn’t here? So this Teddy was responsible for satisfying his sexual needs when his
boyfriend wasn’t around? And now she was supposed to be Teddy’s replacement?
How insane was this world? Should she be more bothered that he swung both ways, or that her appeal

Julian saw her face–a complex mixture of rejection, defance, and carefully suppressed anger–but had no idea what was going through her mind.
With a sigh, he placed her in his office chair. “Ms. Forbes, is it really so difficult to help me with
something?”
Louisa screamed in her mind, “Something? This is hardly a small favor!”
Wait… no, no, no. Her eyes landed on the stack of documents on the desk, and understanding dawned. “Mr. Tudor, you want me to help with work?”
Julian frowned. “What else?”
Louisa’s face turned crimson. Realizing her misunderstanding, she scrambled to cover, “Nothing! I thought you wanted me to clean or something, which is why I said I couldn’t do it with my injury.”
Such a flimsy excuse wouldn’t convince anyone, not even herself.
Julian said nothing, just leaned against the desk with an expression that suggested he saw right through her. After a moment, he let out an amused laugh. “Ms. Forbes, you have quite the imagination.”

Louisa’s face burned so hot she nearly buried it in the pile of documents, completely at a loss for words.
Julian didn’t pursue the matter further. He went outside and brought back another chair His original intention in setting her on the desk had been to fetch a chair, but she’d created this
ne instead.
He sat beside her, took away the pile of documents in front of her, and extracted two files. “These are two investment projects newly submitted by the investment department, plus an annual report. Please review
them all.”
“Yes, sir.” Facing work, Louisa switched into professional mode instantly.
The study grew quiet afterward, with only the sound of turning pages. Louisa worked diligently, reading quickly. After reviewing the investment projects, she prepared summaries and recommendations.
When she got to the financial report, her brow furrowed slightly.
Julian glanced at her. “What is it?”
“This part,” she pointed out. “The ultimate form of business–finance integration–how to achieve complete

“Business occurrence equals financial recording‘ is a real–time challenge. Embedding compliance rules into property processes while letting financial data directly drive strategic adjustments isn’t as easy as they claim.
“Breaking through this goal requires rigorous technology and management–impossible without practical implementation.”
“So it seems even our Ms. Forbes is stumped,” Julian said with a light chuckle, handing her a book. “Look
through this–perhaps you’ll find your answer.”
Louisa trusted his judgment and began reading seriously. The finance book was filled with complex,
hardcore knowledge.
As she read, drowsiness crept in. It was very late, after all. Her head tilted to one side as she fell asleep.
Julian was signing documents when he felt something on his arm–her head had dropped onto it. Work
truly was the best sleeping pill.
Julian tapped her head. “Really asleep?”
“Shh,” she mumbled, grabbing his hand and tucking it under her head like a pillow.
Julian’s lips curved into a smile. She’d been so quick to run from him while awake, yet became clingy in
sleep.
Gently, he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.
The next morning, she woke at nine o’clock. Hearing sounds from outside the room, she dressed, got into her wheelchair, and went to investigate.
Bob was cooking breakfast. Not seeing Julian anywhere, she asked, “Bob, where’s Mr. Tudor?”
Bob replied cheerfully, “Mr. Tudor went to the company
Louisa muttered to herself, “Doesn’t he need to rest?” She recalled he was still working when she fell asleep last night.
Bob explained, “Mr. Tudor is always disciplined. When there’s work at the company, he goes early. He asked

“No, not at all. I slept very well.”
“That’s good.” Bob returned to his cooking.

Louisa was about to offer help–she didn’t want to be a freeloader who just waited to be fed. Just then, her
phone rang.
She checked the screen: George was calling. Her good mood instantly evaporated.
She answered coldly, “What is it?”
George, however, sounded cheerful, “Honey, you agreed to come home for lunch today, remember? I’m coming to pick you up now.”
