Chapter 153
Julian moved the bowd beyond her reach, giving her a teasing smirk, “When did I say I don’t like it?”
You said it
was incredible….
“Wasn’t that a compliment?”
“You also said don’t bother next time.”
“And what’s wrong with that?”
Louisa was speechless. Each of julian’s statements made perfect sense individually, but together?
They were obviously backhanded compliments. He was clearly criticizing her cooking.
She gave him a wounded look while Julian continued eating until he finished the entire bowl, maintaining his elegant composure throughout.
When done, he even showed her the empty
bowl.
“See? I finished it all,” he said, implying he hadn’t found her cooking distasteful after all.
But Louisa wasn’t so easily fooled. She remained silent, glaring at him before muttering, “Terk”
Julian’s lips curved slightly upward. Instead of getting angry, he simply patted her head. “Alright, don’t be upset. Give me your phone.”
Louisa didn’t know why she complied so readily, but she handed it over without protest. She couldn’t see what he was doing with it.
few minutes later, he held the phone out to her. “I’ve linked you to my secondary card. You can do whatever you want with it–you have my permission to act first and report later. Satisfied now?”
Louisa was completely stunned. Had he just said he’d linked her to his secondary card? Given her permission to act first and report later?
So he knew what she wanted to propose all along and he just gave her his full trust?
She quickly took back her phone and opened PayPal. Sure enough, in the bank card section, there was a new gold–embossed black card.
She rubbed her eyes and looked again–it was still there.
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll max out your car
card?‘ she asked in
in disbelief.
Julian ch
chuckled. “It’s an unlimited black card. If you actually manage to max it out, F’il be impressed.”
Only then did Louisa finally believe what had just happened. She looked up at hing with a bright smile, het beautiful eyes curving into crescents. “Mr. Tudor, you’re wonderful.”
“Not calling me a jerk anymore?” Julian snorted.
“When did I ever call you a jerk?” Louisa replied innocently. “Who’s a jerk? You could never be one. You’re the best person in the entire world.”

Chapter 153
Her flattery was completely shameless, utterly denying what she said just seconds ago,
Julian’s
smile deepened as he watched her brazen behavior.
However, this pleasant atmosphere didn’t last long. Suddenly, Louisa’s phone rang, with Georges name lighting up the screen.
The mood in the room instantly shifted.
Louisa remembered George standing er up at the courthouse, and her smile vanished completely. Not wanting to deal with him, she rejected the call.
George called again. She hung up again. He called again….
It seemed like he would keep calling until the end of time if she didn’t answer. She was about to turn off her phone entirely.
“Aren’t you going to answer your husband’s call?” Julian helpfully reminded her.
“He’s not my husband,” Louisa replied without thinking.
“Is that so?” Julian gave her a measured look.
Louisa was about to explain that her divorce from George was already a done deal when a thought occurred to her.
George didn’t want the divorce in
the first place
place. If she didn’t take more initiative, it would never happen.
She abandoned any attempt to contradict Julian’s words and quickly got up from the floor. “I need to go back now.”
Julian said nothing as she hurried out the door. The moment it closed, she answered the phone.
That eager, was she? Julian smiled sardonically.
Back in her own apartment, Louisa Impatiently answered, “George, what do you want?
“Why do you keep hanging up on me?” he demanded. “And why did it take so long to answer? Were you with Julian just now
His sixth sense was eerily accurate.
Louisa felt her relationship with Julian was completely innocent and didn’t want to ding him into this. She ignored George’s question and coldly laughed.

“What’s this? You can lie
me and stand me up,
ip, but I can’t hang up on you?”
Her words hit George’s site spot. Unable to answer, be changed the subject, his tune suddenly tuning plaintive,
“Honey, I had truly important business abroad. I finished today and could have refined, but there’s an auction tomorrow with that blue diamond you love. I can bid on it for you. Can we please not get ilivoiend?”
“Don’t try to distract me with this nonsense,” Louisa cut him off. “Did you know Vivian has been released?”
“She’s out?” George sounded genuinely surprised

Chapter 153
Louisa laughed bitterly. “You’re still putting on an act? A few days ago, when you agreed to the divorce, you sounded so sincere that I actually believed you. Then you backed out at the last minute. And wouldn’t you know it–Iwo days after you left, she gets released.
“I’m guessing the Price family found a way to free her, so you conspired with them, tricked me into convincing Julian, and then changed your mind, right?
“What a brilliant scheme. You even had me fooled. George, you’re wasting your talents not being an actor.”
On the other end. George felt utterly wronged. “What are you talking about? How could I possibly conspire with them to trick you?”
“Fine.” Louisa challenged. “If you want me to believe you, then come back and sign the divorce papers with me.”
Her constant talk of divorce was driving George to distraction.
The Capulet Group was genuinely in trouble. He was being pressured by his father Dominic and the Price family, facing both internal and external crises.
Initially, he had agreed to the divorce because he feared he couldn’t protect her anymore.
But sometimes, timing is everything. On the very day of their divorce appointment, he received information that could turn the tables in his favor, so he
rushed abroad without delay.
In truth, if there was any way he could save both the Capulet Group and her, he would absolutely refuse the divorce.
Now that the matter was resolved, he had nothing to
worry
about.
“This divorce is never going to happen,” he declared forcefully, “unless I’m dead.”
