Louisa had just reached the parking lot when Julian arrived with Teddy. On the way to Cloudreet Club, Nowh drove while Teddy sat in the passenger seat, with falian and Louisa in the back
Louisa wanted to ask Julian why they were going to Cloudrest Club so she could prepare herself, but as soon as the car started moving his phone rang Tw calls in succession. By the time Julian finished his calls, the had already fallen arep against the window.
The entire car fell silent. All three men could hear Louisa’s head bumping against the glass, over and over, yet she didn’t wake up.
Noah curiously asked Teddy, ‘What was Ms. Forbes doing last night? Didn’t the sleep at all?
Teddy shot him a look. Just drive the car.”
As if this was any of his business.
Julian reached out carefully to protect Louisa’s head, then turned her body and pulled her onto his lap. She opened her eyes drowsily, meeting his gaze.
Julian cradled her head with one hand and pressed it against his chest. ‘Go back to sleep.”
Louisa was indeed exhausted. Especially now, leaning against his chest, surrounded by his reassuring scent. She closed her eyes and drifted off again.
Julian looked down at her. Despite her delicate features, there was an unmistakable exhaustion etched across her face. Even in sleep, her eyebrows remained
furrowed.
He held her waist with one arm while supporting her head with his other hand. His thumb gently stroked her brow bone, as if trying to smooth away her
worries. Louisa seemed to sense his touch, nestling deeper into his embrace as her furrowed brow gradually relaxed.
Julian lowered his head, resting his cheek against the top of her head, holding her like a priceless treasure.
This tender scene had Noah practically bursting with curiosity. He shot Teddy an inquisitive look: What earth–shattering thing had Ms. Forbes done to make
Mr. Tudor so concerned?‘
Teddy’s silent response: Don’t ask. It’s just the power of love.”
The two men had developed such a rapport that they could communicate entirely through meaningful glances.
Before long, they arrived at the Cloudrest Club parking lot. Seeing that Julian had no intention of waking Louisa, Noah and Teddy exchanged another look
and slipped out of the car without a word. They needed to find a place to smoke
Louisa had fallen into a deep sleep. Julian hadn’t planned to wake her, wanting to let her rest properly, but it was already past one oclock.
Shed been asleep for nearly two hours. If she slept any longer, she’d have trouble sleeping that night.
‘Louisa, wake up,” he called softly, his voice low and gentle, like a clear stream flowing by her eat.
That was more conducive to sleep than wakefulness, wasn’t it?
Louisa shifted in his arms, adjusting to a more comfortable position, wrapping he arms around his waist and continuing to sleep.

Chapter 296
Seeing her like this, Julian felt both amused and frustrated. If she was this tired, why was she working herself so hard?
He lowered his head and kissed her ear. Come on, no more sleeping. Ill take you to get some food.”
“We can eat later… let me sleep a little longer, she mumbled, her consciousness azy as she pleaded in a soft, sweet voice.

Julian felt a flutter in his chest and couldn’t help himself–he kissed her lips. His warm, crisp breath mingled with hers, like an intoxicating poison teasing
her senses.
Though Louisa wasn’t fully awake, desire awakened before her consciousness did. Lying in his arms, she hooked her arms around his neck and returned his
kiss.
Julian was momentarily surprised. He’d only meant to tease her, to coax her awake. He hadn’t expected such enthusiasm.
He pulled her closer, deepening the kiss. Like a sudden tide, it overwhelmed her until she could barely breathe.
And then she was completely awake.
What was she doing? Kissing Julian? While lying in his arms?
She froze, her mind going blank.
Julian saw her dumbfounded expression and laughed softly. “Confused?”
Louisa quickly moved off his lap and sat beside him, pretending to be composed as she smoothed her hair. Then she changed the subject. “How did I fall asleep? Are we at Cloudrest Club already? Why didn’t you wake me up?”
‘I tried, but you wouldn’t wake up. You insisted I kiss you before you’d get up.”
“That’s impossible!” Louisa denied without hesitation. “You were clearly the one who seduced me. I don’t have that kind of bad habit.”
Julian’s smile deepened. “I don’t think it’s a bad habit at all. So feel free to continue–I don’t mind.”
As he spoke, he looked at her, his deep eyes filled with stars, particularly dazzling and captivating.
Louisa almost fell under his spell again. ‘I never insisted you kiss me! Don’t think you can take advantage of me just because I was asleep!”
Julian replied, “How could I take advantage of you? If you say it didn’t happen, then it didn’t. Why are you getting so worked up?”
His expression clearly said, “I knew you wouldn’t admit it.‘
Louisa was so irritated she wanted to hit him, but he was her boss, so she didn’t dare. She could only glare at him angrily.
Julian ruffled her hair. “Alright, don’t be upset. Let’s go eat. Our little genius haseen working too hard lately–I’ll treat you to something special today.”
Louisa fell silent. Fine, no point in being angry.
She followed him out of the cat.
Not far away, Teddy and Noah had been smoking by the trash cans, squatting back to back until their legs went numb. Finally spotting their boss exiting the car, they quickly tossed their cigarettes and hurried over.
On the way to Cloudrest Club, Julian walked in front with Louisa behind him, and Teddy and Noah following her.

Teddy gave him a “you’re so naive look and lowered his voice. “You don’t know this, but our Mr. Tudor loves to tease her. He once told me Louisa is cutest when she’s being teased.”
Noah felt his worldview shatter. He exclaimed in disbelief, “He likes her but still cases her? Is Mr. Tudor some kind of sadist?”
