Chapter 436
Louisa’s first reflexive thought was: Get to bed early? Did Julian mean he’d be home very late tonight?
But she didn’t ask.
Julian didn’t wait for her response either. After speaking, he left.
Louisa watched his retreating figure, standing in place without moving.
She felt that something between them seemed different from before.
Like something was quietly changing.
Growing distant.
Creating distance.
This suddenly reminded her of how in the past, every time she felt even slightly uncomfortable, Julian could detect her state of mind in time and try his best to change things for her.
But now, he seemed unable to detect it anymore…
Or rather, he could detect it but didn’t care anymore?
Was it because of the incident with his mother?
On the plane, he’d tried so hard to explain to her.
But she’d said she could understand his actions. Wasn’t that enough?
“Louisa?” Teddy’s voice sounded beside her.
Louisa’s chaotic thoughts were interrupted. She came back to herself and smiled at Teddy.“I came to call you both for lunch.”
“Alright.” Teddy went downstairs with her, saying as they walked, “One of Mr. Tudor’s friends heard he’d come to Gravenford and just called to invite him to lunch, so he went.”
Louisa said, ‘I know. He just told me.”
Teddy looked at her calm expression, assuming his boss had explained, and breathed a sigh of relief. ‘Good that he told you. Let’s hurry down to eat. The chef here is quite good–eat more.”
‘Okay.‘
The lunch was lavish, more than enough for four people.
With Julian gone, only three of them remained.
Louisa and Teddy ate their usual modest amounts.
Chapter 436
Noah, as always, had an excellent appetite.
And adhering to the principle of not waiting Text, he ate heartily, ultimately finishing everything
The afternoon hours stretched long with nothing to do.
Louisa felt too stifled in the villa and somewhat irritable. She wanted to go out for a walk.
But she walked ahead while Noah followed behind, staying close at all times.
Louisa said helplessly, “Noah, I’d like to walk alone.”
“But Mr. Tudor said if you go out, I need to protect you.” Noah looked conflicted.
Louisa sighed.
Not wanting to make things difficult for Noah, she stopped objecting.
Noah had orders to protect her, but knowing she wanted solitude, he didn’t follow quite so closely, keeping his distance.
Watching Louisa leave the house and walk aimlessly along the sidewalk, she seemed unhappy.
Noah felt troubled inside, too. Why hadn’t Louisa and Julian made up yet?
Julian really–why didn’t he cling to Louisa and say more sweet things?
This was driving Noah crazy.
Up ahead, as Louisa was walking, her phone rang.
She didn’t want to answer, but it kept ringing.
She pulled it out to look–unknown number, from Gravenford.
She hung up directly.
But before she could put her phone back in her pocket, it rang again.
The same number.
She hung up again.
The caller kept calling.
Several times in a row. Even Louisa’s good temper wore thin.
Even if it was Vivian calling to threaten her, Louisa felt the impulse for a good light.
She answered, her tone unfriendly. ‘Who the hell are you? Say what you need to say.”

Chapter 436
The other end was silent for a moment, then laughed with schadenfreude. In a bad mood? Very angry? I knew all these things you said this munning were just to fool me. How about it–now that Julian’s gone out on a date with his first love, you’re unhappy, arent you?
Teresa’s voice.
Louisa frowned. She stopped walking and leaned against a nearby garden railing, asking directly. How do you know she’s his first toes? Have we been
spying on him?
Teresa said, ‘Never mind how I know. Just tell me–didn’t he leave without eating lunch?
Louisa answered, ‘Yes.”
Teresa’s tone was full of schadenfreude again. “I knew it. Coming to Gravenford, he’d definitely go see Briar. And he definitely wouldn’t tell you the fro Louisa, you’re just one woman among many–nothing special. Aren’t you ending up the same as me?”
Louisa was first speechless, then laughed coldly. “According to you, aren’t you supposed to be his first love? Now there’s just one more woman and you anxiously calling to sow discord. What’s wrong–can’t handle it yourself, so you want to recruit reinforcements and get me on your side?”
Teresa hadn’t expected Louisa to be so difficult to deal with. She’d said all this, yet Louisa still wouldn’t take the bait.
Teresa took a deep breath and continued, “Louisa, don’t be smug. I may have been sent away, but you haven’t won either. Tell me–hasn’t he been very cold
toward you these past two days?”
Louisa fell silent at once.
Because Teresa had gotten it all right.
Actually, Teresa wasn’t completely certain either, but based on her observations, though she didn’t know what had happened between Louisa and Julian, she could tell something was off between them.
So she was testing the waters.
Because right now she was alone in the castle, drinking in solitude.
Julian said he had a task for her–what task? There was nothing.
Since Teresa wasn’t happy, naturally, she wouldn’t let Louisa be happy either.
Louisa laughed coldly. Looks like you didn’t believe a word I said to you last night. That’s fine–1 don’t care. As for you, drink less. Otherwise, when ward of your drinking problem gets out, your hopes of marrying into the Tudor family will be completely ruined.
After speaking, Louisa hung up directly and blocked the number.
Teresa, on the other end, looked at the disconnected call, then at the wine bottle in her hand. How did Louisa know she had a drinking problem?
She wanted to call back and ask clearly, but the call wouldn’t go through no matter what.
Angrily, she downed most of another bottle, completely unaware that at this moment, a black SUV was heading toward the castle where she was.
And in that car sat a woman terrified beyond measure…

Chapter 436
On Louisa’s end.
After hanging up, she didn’t want to do anything anymore. Didn’t want to keep walking either.
Leaning against the railing, watching the setting sun, she felt a stifled, uncomfortable feeling in her heart.
Knowing full well that Teresa was trying to sow discord, she d still been affected.
The path between her and Julian seemed to be nearing its end…
