To be honest, Louisa was indeed startled.

She really didn’t know how Teresa had determined that Briar was Julian’s first love.

For the rest of the journey, Louisa felt like she was sitting on pins and needles.

Over twenty minutes later, the carriage stopped in front of a castle.

It was a Gothic castle, dark clouds hovering like black fog over the spires.

Warm yellow light spilled from within the castle, creating an eerie yet mysterious atmosphere.

Louisa’s group followed the butler through an archway.

Inside was a gorgeous, vintage atmosphere–beneath high ceilings hung massive crystal chandeliers that made one’s eyes dizzy.

Quite a few guests had already arrived.

Louisa spotted Julian almost immediately.

Not just because he was tall enough, handsome enough, dazzling enough, but more importantly, his clothing color–it looked exactly like an eggplant.

Louisa couldn’t help but laugh,

Julian seemed to sense it and looked in her direction.

Seeing Louisa in a sexy white dress, his pupils contracted slightly, and his face instantly frosted over.

Julian suppressed the urge to punch him. “What did I tell you to do? Forgot?”

The last sentence was extremely sharp.

Noah wasn’t afraid though, just acted like a pitiful big puppy. “Mr. Tudor, if you’re angry, just hit me.”

Julian was quite angry. This brat wasn’t afraid of a beating at all–hitting him would be pointless.

He looked at Teddy hiding behind Louisa. “What are you hiding for? Get over here!”

Teddy wanted to die.

He knew it would be like this.

He didn’t dare face his furious boss and shrank further behind Louisa and Noah, saying with a mournful expression, “This wasn’t my idea. I tried to persuade them, I really tried hard to persuade them. They wouldn’t listen…”

What could he do?

Julian sneered coldly. “Then why are you hiding? Come out. I won’t hit you.”

Teddy was silent.

Louisa gave him a “stay calm” look and walked two steps closer to Julian. “It was me who insisted on coming. I forced them to come. It has nothing to do with Teddy and Noah. If you’re angry… hit me.”

She actually extended her hand to him.

Julian was both angry and amused, staring at her for several seconds before finally taking off his suit jacket and draping it over her. ‘Forget hitting you. Your

punishment is to be an eggplant too.”

Louisa pressed her lips together to hold back a smile. So he also thought this outfit looked like an eggplant.

Julian caught her smile. He was still angry–how dare she laugh?

Louisa pulled the suit jacket tighter and tugged his hand beneath it. “Alright, I’ll be an eggplant with you. Don’t be angry anymore. You’re scaring them.”

A coaxing tone.

But Julian was still angry. She didn’t say he’d scared her, only cared that he’d scared Teddy and Noah?

She didn’t dare face Julian’s wrath either.

She went straight to find Orion, who was standing elsewhere.

Crion was looking at Louisa, looking at the jacket draped over her, intensely jealous.

Orion looked at her coldly. “You brought her here? Why?”

Briar said, ‘What, did I bring Louisa here and ruin your plans?”

Orion said, “Julian and I are good friends.”

She laughed gleefully.

Orion was provoked and said resentfully, “So what if I’m jealous? You’re the same, aren’t you? Interested in that silly woman?”

Briar pinched his arm hard. “Dare to insult my woman? You looking to die?”

Orion snorted heavily.

Briar said, “You’d better not give me attitude, or I’ll deal with you when we get home.”

Orion was furious but helpless against her.

How could such a savage woman exist in this world?

After disciplining her fiancé, Briar smiled sweetly and linked her arm with his. “Let’s go over.”

They were childhood sweethearts, their families had been close for generations, with three generations of good relations.
