He frowned, hesitated for a second, then got up and went to Iris’s room to grab a cotton pajama top.
He sat on the edge of the bed, patting her cheek. “Iris, wake up.”
“Mmm.” Iris mumbled a response.
Finished:
“Wake up. Change your shirt first.” He was a clean freak, with a little OCD. He couldn’t stand anyone sleeping in damp clothes and he wouldn’t allow it, not even for Ins.
Iris rolled over and kept sleeping.
Julian let out a soft breath, his voice dropping a little. “I change it for you, okay?”
“Mmm,” she mumbled, half-asleep.
He’d never seen Iris naked. Even two years ago, when she’d fallen unconscious and been hospitalized, he’d stayed by her side to take care of her. But all the work like changing her clothes and washing her had been done by the nurses.
He swallowed hard, laying Iris flat on her back. His fingers reached for the buttons on her chest.
He unbuttoned them one by one, moving down past her full chest, revealing more of her skin.
She was wearing a white bra, her perfect figure almost spilling out. Flat stomach, soft pink skin. It made his eyes burn, his breath coming in heavy, ragged gasps.
His mouth went dry, a tight, uncomfortable feeling in his throat.
Once all the buttons were undone, he lifted her soft body up.
Iris leaned into him, her face pressing against his chest.
Julian stiffened.
His whole body went rigid, like his bones had turned to jelly.
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. His breath was hot, his body burning up, his heart pounding so hard it hurt.
He whispered in his hoarse, deep voice, “Iris, I’ve held back for two years. If you keep this up, I won’t be able to anymore.”
Iris didn’t react at all. Her breathing was light and steady
Julian took another deep breath and kept taking off her shirt.
Her arms were long and soft.
Taking off just one shirt felt like it took all his strength. The wall he’d built up in his heart had crumbled completely.
He threw the shirt on the floor and slipped the pajama top over her.
Her long, loose hair was tied with a hair tie, which got pulled off along with her pajama top as he pulled it over her head.
