After the Cold Marriage His Crazy Love (Iris and Julian) novel Chapter 86

His Belated Love for the Abandoned ExWife

Chapter 86 A LateNight Moment

Third time. It’s still just as good.

Julian went quiet.

Iris turned to him. What about you?

First time.

Iris stared at him, shocked, for a long minute.

She couldn’t figure it out. How come he’d never seen such a funny, good movie?

As the movie played, both of them laughed at the scenes.

S Pearls

The more it went on, the harder Iris laughed. When she thought she was being too loud, she covered her face and pressed it into the pillow on her lap. She was laughing so hard her sides hurt.

Julian peeled an orange while he watched. He carefully picked off the white strings and held a piece up to her mouth.

Iris stopped being shy. She opened her mouth and ate the orange he fed her.

Julian kept feeding her, and he ate some himself too.

After the orange, he wiped his hands with a wet wipe. Then he put his arm around Iris’s shoulders. It felt natural and intimate, like he’d done it a hundred times.

The movie was really funny. He laughed, shaking his head and covering his forehead. He looked amused and a little helpless.

Iris laughed so hard her stomach hurt during the part where the male lead and his friend threw flying knives at the landlady. Every knife boomeranged back and stuck in him. She leaned all over the place and ended up against Julian’s chest.

Julian put his arm around her waist, holding her from behind. He was laughing so hard he could barely think straight.

During the scene where the landlady chased the main character, she ran so fast. Even her slippers and underwear flew off. Julian thought it was ridiculous but hilarious. He leaned down and buried his face in her neck to laugh.

His breath was warm.

It fanned her neck, making her go weak and tingly, ticklish all over. Her heart raced. She suddenly realized how close they were. Close enough to hug, close enough to touch.

The intimacy made her fluttery, shy, and nervous for no reason.

In Julian’s arms, Iris couldn’t focus on the movie at all.

She made an excuse to get juice from the coffee table, pulling away from his hug.

She took a sip, then turned to him. You want some?

Julian didn’t answer. He just reached out and took the juice from her hand.

Iris froze.

She was confused.

She watched Julian drink from the same cup she’d just used. No hesitation, no disgust.

She glanced at the table. Only one cup of juice and one cup of yogurt.

When she asked that, wasn’t she basically offering Julian a sip from her own cup?

But hey, they’d already kissed. Sharing a cup of juice was nothing.

She thought back to the sad days when he’d said he wanted to throw away clothes she’d worn. Maybe those days were gone for good.

Julian took a sip of juice. Then he smiled when he saw her staring. What’s wrong?

Iris smiled shyly, shook her head, sat up straight again, and hugged the pillow to watch the movie.

Julian set the juice back on the coffee table.

He still sat with one hand on the sofa behind her, his chest leaning toward her.

Iris didn’t know what Julian was thinking, but his body language made it clear. He wanted to be close, wanted to touch her.

It was so obvious.

The movie was over an hour long.

They watched until almost midnight.

Iris wanted more, but she was so tired her eyes felt heavy. She set the pillow down and turned to Julian.

Julian had his elbow on the sofa behind her, his hand propping his head. His chest was almost touching her shoulder.

When she turned, their eyes met. They were close, his gaze hot.

Julian’s breath was warm, his smile soft. His deep, dark eyes looked so loving, like they could pull her in. He stared at her quietly.

His eyes always looked that wayso loving, so beautiful, so charming. It felt like an illusion.

Iris’s heart raced. She didn’t know what to do, her voice shaking with nerves. It’s over. I’ll clean up the living room. Youyou go to bed early.

+5 Prade

Iris tried to stand up, but Julian grabbed her wrist. He pulled her onto his lap and whispered softly, Iris, stay with me tonight. Okay?

Iris was too shy to open her eyes. Her body went limp in his arms, shaking with nervousness.
