Chapter 182 The Blade Turns
Agnes didn’t rush. She spoke slowly, calmly, and steadily.

“You want to drive me out, maybe even ruin my business and force me out of Grandridge. All for that man?”
Monica stiffened. “Ms. Sinclair, watch your words. I can sue you for slander.”
Agnes tilted her head slightly. “I’m guessing… there’s more to it. Something else pushing you this far.”
Monica shot up from her chair, furious. She pointed at Agnes
“That’s enough! I went to your store out of goodwill to order a gown. Do you know how many top designers want me as a client? I chose you because of Raymond!
“And how did you repay me? You hid a blade inside the gown. You did it on purpose, didn’t you?
“At Sabrina’s birthday party, you saw me getting close to Raymond, and you couldn’t stand it! Anyone who gets near him, you go after them!
“Ursa, Duncan, even Jillian–you pushed them all out!”
Agnes gave a small shrug. “So this is revenge for them?”
Monica laughed in disbelief.
“You really know how to twist things! I got cut in your shop, and not a single apology. Now you come here and try to blame me?
“You’re really good at turning the victim into the villain. No wonder you caused such chaos in the Newtons. I guess I shouldn’t have underestimated you.”
Agnes stayed calm.
“I checked all the security footage. From the moment you entered the store to when you went into the fitting room–everything was normal. But the second you stepped inside alone, your neck got cut.
“Did you think there were no cameras in there? That no one would find out you did it to yourself?
“And those reporters–funny timing, right? Showing up right after you got hurt. The posts online smearing me–those were your doing too, weren’t they?”
Monica let out a sharp laugh.
“You really think the world is out to get you? This is your store’s safety issue. Your responsibility! What, did Raymond scold you? Or are you just scared because you have no proof, so now you’re making things up?
“Listen, Agnes, that won’t work on me. I really didn’t expect Raymond to have such poor taste–ending up with someone like you. Oh wait.” She smirked. “Didn’t you two already get divorced?”
Agnes smiled back.

“Yeah, we did. I’m curious though. How did you find out?”
“Of course Raymond told me,” Monica said proudly. “He never liked you. Everyone in his family hates you. And even after the divorce, you’re still hanging around their house. How shameless.”
“Is that so? When did I tell you that? I don’t remember.” A cold voice came from the doorway. Raymond stood there.
Monica’s face went pale.
Agnes glanced at him, surprised. Why was he here?
Monica forced a smile, her voice trembling. “I—I guessed, Raymond. I was just guessing. Agnes had gone too far just now.
“I got my neck cut in her store, and instead of taking responsibility, she came here to accuse me. She’s just trying to protect her reputation.
“Raymond, you have to stand up for me. I’ve never been treated like this before.
“I only went to her store because of you. That gown meant a lot to me—I could’ve gone to any top designer!”
Her eyes turned red as she spoke, looking at him pitifully.
Raymond said nothing. His gaze was dark, unreadable, fixed on Agnes with a hint of curiosity.
Agnes felt a little frustrated.
So he came for Monica? Even if he did, I won’t back down.
She pulled an envelope from her bag and tossed it onto the table in front of Monica.
‘What’s this?” Monica frowned in disgust, clearly reluctant to touch it.
Agnes said, “Proof that you cut your own neck. Want to take a look?”
Monica hesitated, then opened the envelope. Inside was a stack of photos.
