Chapter 260 Not My Daughter
“W-weren’t you in the hospital? Weren’t you in a deep coma?”
Bianca’s pupils shrank as she stumbled back several steps in shock.
Monica, who had just been struggling, froze too. She had asked the doctor yesterday, and he said Calvin h almost no chance of waking up this time.
How is this possible?
Calvin let out a cold laugh.
“If I hadn’t pretended to be unconscious, how would I have known you were this vicious?”
Bianca’s face went pale as she trembled. “Th-then… you heard everything that day?”
“Not just heard it. I recorded every word you said.”
A few days earlier, Monica had told Bianca that all the Hales’ assets had been successfully transferred to Doblaria, and everything was set.
She urged Bianca to make a move on Calvin and get rid of him as a burden.
Once Agnes poured all her savings into the Hales, the two of them could walk away clean and leave.
They would head to Doblaria and live the rest of their lives in comfort.
Bianca walked into Calvin’s hospital room and, like before, mixed something into his water.
Once taken, the symptoms mimicked a stroke.
Arbest, it caused a coma. At worst, death.
Last time, she hadn’t used much, and had
only fallen unconscious.
This time, she increased the dose, intending to kill him outright.
Before leaving, she leaned over him, crying as she spoke, “You forced me into this. I didn’t want to do it. I loved you my whole life.
“But in your heart, there’s only that woman, Daisy!
“Fine. I’ll grant your wish. You two can be together in the afterlife!”
But after Bianca left, Calvin suddenly opened his eyes, shock and fury burning across his face.
Everything she had done and said had been captured by hidden cameras.
Earlier, Agnes had gone to Wenmark and brought Josh back to Grandridge.
Josh had said Calvin’s condition didn’t look like a typical stroke but more like the result of some kind of external ungger or medication
Agnes told Calvin everything. Though he didn’t want to believe it, after thinking it over carefully, he stayed cautious.
From then on, he was extremely careful with everything he ate and drank.
He also had multiple hidden cameras installed inside and outside his hospital room.
When Bianca laced the water, he didn’t swallow it, just held it in his mouth, and that was when he heard everything she said.
Back in the conference room, Bianca stood there stunned, her voice hollow.
“Y-you knew all along, and you said nothing. You led me straight into this?”
