Chapter 35 She’ll Kill Me

Everyone was so frightened that they kept backing away. Linda was pinned against the sink, unable to move. She was crying and begging for mercy.

“Mrs. Newton, it really wasn’t me! Why would I hurt you? What motherwort? Ahhh!”

Agnes pressed Linda’s head down with one hand and grabbed a kettle of freshly boiled water with the other, pretending she was about to pour it over Linda’s head.

Some water splashed out accidentally, scalding Linda and making her scream.

Agnes trembled with rage. More hot water sloshed out of the kettle, scalding half of Linda’s ear until it turned bright red.

But Agnes held her down tightly. Linda cried and screamed in pain.

“Mrs. Newton, please let me go! I’m just an old woman–I really never harmed you! Ahhh…”

Linda was so terrified that she nearly wet herself. She didn’t dare reveal who had ordered her to do it. Her family’s lives were still in the mastermind’s hands.

Seeing how stubborn Linda was, Agnes tried to guess. There were only a few people Linda was close to.

Everyone in the Newtons–except Sabrina–was rotten to the core!

Years of grievance and anger surged up all at once. Her poor child had been murdered!

Agnes’s last thread of rationality snapped. Her emotions spiraled completely out of control.

Her eyes turned bloodshot, and her mind went blank.

Like a madwoman, she grabbed a fruit knife from the table and lunged at Linda, ready to stab her wildly.

“Agnes!!!”

A man’s urgent shout rang out as someone snatched the knife from Agnes’s hand.

Then she was pulled tightly into a broad chest. No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t break free) Her hysterical screams echoed through the villa.

“Let me go! She killed my child! It was her! She killed my child! I’m going to kill her!!!”

Raymond’s face was grim. Agnes trembled violently in his arms, crying in unbearable grief.

It was the first time he had ever seen her so out of control. His heart felt as if it had been stabbed.

Linda collapsed weakly to the ground beside the sink. Just now, she truly thought she was going to die.

Raymond forcefully carried the emotionally unstable Agnes back to the bedroom and called the family doctor.

The doctor gave Agnes a sedative injection, and she gradually calmed down.

Raymond didn’t know exactly what had happened to Agnes to push her so far that she would grab a knife to hurt someone without hesitation.

But hearing her scream that their child had been killed by Linda gave him a general idea.

In a secluded corner of the Newton mansion’s courtyard, Linda hid furtively, clutching her phone.

“This is really bad. You have to save me! That woman found out I secretly put motherwort in her meals!”

The person on the other end said something, and Linda became agitated.

kill me!”

The other person spoke again, and Linda’s tone suddenly weakened.
