Seeing that there was no longer any need to keep pretending, Jillian dropped her smile, revealing a cold expression.
“Hah, so what if it was me? Go ahead and tell your dad. Let’s see whether he believes you or me.
“You’re no saint, and your wife is even worse. She ruined Ursa’s marriage with the Ruells. You two should take responsibility for that!”
Raymond said, “You’ve made repeated moves against me because of your useless son?”
Jillian snapped, “Your mom already took you and left the Newtons back then! So why did you come back?! I could’ve married Joseph much earlier if it weren’t for your mom
“If she left, then she should’ve stayed gone! Because of her, my kids and I had to endure so much disgrace! Wasn’t it all about money?
“Who was she trying to fool, acting all pure and innocent? Your dad spoiled her rotten! And so did Sabrina!”
Raymond, who had been calm moments ago, visibly struggled to suppress his anger when she mentioned his mother.
But Jillian didn’t give him a moment to breathe.
She continued, “She was short–lived anyway. That brat caused her death! You should go settle the score
with her!
“How could you marry someone like that and even have a child? I was helping you get rid of a disaster! She’s a jinx!”
Raymond’s brown eyes locked tightly onto Jillian.
She felt a bit uneasy, but she wasn’t afraid. After all, they were at the Newton family estate, and Joseph was on her side.
She had also given birth to two children for the Newtons!
୮
Raymond slowly stepped toward her, frightening her into backing away again and again.
“What are you doing?! Raymond, this is the estate! Your dad will be back any moment! If you dare touch me, he won’t let you off!”
He stopped and sneered.
“You should be grateful that I never hit women. But I won’t let you off that easily either.”
“What are you planning to do?!”
Jillian felt a chill of fear. She knew Raymond looked cold and detached on the surface, but he was ruthless deep down.

Just then, her phone rang.
The moment she answered, an urgent male voice came through.
“Mrs. Newton, this is bad! Mr. Duncan… he’s been in a car accident! Please come to the hospital right away!
He’s still unconscious!”
Jillian was so shocked that her phone slipped from her ear and fell to the ground. She froze in place, her eyes wide.
“You! Raymond! It was you! You did this, didn’t you?!”
She snapped back to her senses and screamed at him.
“Jillian, do you like the surprise I prepared for you? Since you hurt the people around me, I can do the same.”
Raymond smiled with a trace of madness, clearly satisfied with Jillian’s furious expression.
“He’s your own brother! How could you do this?! Ahhhh! I’ll kill you!”
Jillian roared as she lunged at Raymond, but he turned to the side just in time and dodged her with ease.
He brushed his suit lightly and said coldly, “He still gets to keep his life this time.
“I haven’t acted against you all these years, not because was afraid, but because Grandma begged me.
“For her sake, I tolerated you again and again. Next time, I won’t be this merciful!”
With that, he left Jillian behind and walked away.
Inside the car, Eden reported, “Mr. Newton, the casino’s people didn’t receive their payment. They tracked down Linda’s son and broke his arms and legs.
“He’s crippled now. As you instructed, I’ve had every industry Grandridge blacklist Linda.
“She won’t be able to find work. With a disabled son, life won’t be easy for her.”
Raymond replied, “She deserves it. For some people, death is release. Living in suffering is the greatest punishment.”
Eden continued, “As for your brother, the driver held back. After hitting him, he immediately took him to the hospital.
“One of his legs is broken, but his life isn’t at risk.”
“Mm.”
“What about your father’s side? This was done so openly. I’m afraid it won’t be easy to explain…”
Raymond stared coldly out the window, his fists clenched so tightly that they cracked.
