Agnes' Awakening: From Zero to His Whole World novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95 A Dangerous Alliance

Rebecca was anxious to find Ethan. She hesitated for a moment, then hurried off.

On the other side of the university entrance, another luxury car was parked.

Hillary sat inside, wearing sunglasses. She quietly watched the man and woman arguing outside.

Her face slowly turned red. Her hand gripped the seat so tightly that it made a faint creaking sound.

Raymond had planned to send her to Montara for treatment. But after her last suicide scare, he never mentioned it again.

These days, he visited her often at the hospital. Still, she could clearly feel it—he was distant. Cold. Brushing her off even.

That distance didn’t feel like love. It felt like guilt. It felt as if he was helping her solely out of obligation.

Hillary knew Agnes had already moved out of their mansion. Their relationship was falling apart.

But she couldn’t understand one thing. If things were already like this, why wouldn’t Raymond divorce Agnes? He clearly didn’t care about her anymore.

For the past two days, Raymond hadn’t gone to the hospital. When she called or texted, he only said he was busy.

So Hillary went to his company herself. But just as her car arrived, she saw Raymond leaving.

She immediately told her driver to follow him all the way to the university.

And that was when she saw everything that had just happened. Jealousy burned inside her, almost driving her mad. Only if Agnes disappeared from this world would Raymond finally let go. Only then would he come back to her.

Hillary glanced at the video in her hand, the clip of Agnes confronting Lucy for Rebecca. A faint smile curled on her lips.

Through her connections, she found Lucy and arranged to meet her at a café.

Lucy had heard from her friends that someone saw the video online and wanted to stand up for her. They said they could help her.

At first, Lucy thought it was strange. But after being humiliated by Agnes in public, she had held onto that anger ever since.

She wanted to see who this person was and what they really wanted. So, she went.

When they met, Hillary didn’t waste time. “I’ll be direct,” she said. “We have a common enemy. It’s the girl you fought with at the school gate.”

Lucy frowned slightly, curious. “What’s your problem with her?”

Hillary’s calm expression vanished at once. Her face darkened.

“She took the thing I love most. Something that was never hers to begin with! She deserves to pay for it!”

Lucy narrowed her eyes, thinking it over. No wonder that woman got along with Rebecca. They were the same kind, always going after other people’s men.

When she thought about how Ethan had treated her because of Rebecca, her anger flared up again. “So,” Lucy said, “what exactly do you want to do?”

Hillary took a breath and calmed herself. “I’ll help you get back at her,” she said. “And I’ll get my revenge too. Someone like her, with no morals, should be punished.”

Lucy hesitated. “Why should I listen to you?”

“Don’t you want to get even?” Hillary said coldly. “Are you just going to let people treat you like a joke?

“I saw that video. It wasn’t your fault. They were bullying you. And then they spread lies and acted innocent.

“We’re just getting a little revenge. No one will find out. And I can help you take back what you want.”

Lucy’s eyes lit up. “Really?!”

“Of course,” Hillary said with a smile. “I have some influence in Grandridge. You’ve heard of the Y&N, right?”

Lucy paused, thinking hard. Then she gave a confused look. “Hmm, not really.”

Hillary’s face twitched for a second, but she quickly forced a smile. “It doesn’t matter,” she said. “You just need to know I’m here to help you. I have the power to do it. You won’t lose anything. We’re just giving those bad people a small lesson.”

She leaned back slightly. “And I’ll help you get back what you want. I’ll even pay you for your trouble. Girls help girls.”

Lucy was still hesitating, lost in her thoughts. Hillary didn’t wait. She took out an envelope and a key from her bag and pushed them in front of Lucy.

“Keep these. Do exactly what I told you. I’ll contact you again.”

After Hillary left, Lucy went home and changed her appearance. She put on a baseball cap, a face mask, and large black-framed glasses.
