Inside the opulent headquarters of Gale Entertainment, the atmosphere was thick with arrogance.

Griffin Drake sat on the plush leather sofa, his expression cold and detached.

Across from him stood Alpha Arthur York and his illegitimate son, Hugh.

They were reporting the latest strikes against Starlight Entertainment.

Hugh paced the room, a smug grin plastered on his face.

“It’s working perfectly, Mr. Drake,” Hugh boasted, gesturing wildly.

“Once Mr. Drake makes his move at Amelia’s birthday banquet, Starlight won’t just stumble. It will collapse instantly without a leader.”

Griffin finally looked up, his grey eyes icy.

“Stop fantasizing,” he cut through their celebration sharply.

The room went silent.

“Do you remember Director Kyle?” Griffin asked, his tone unreadable.

Hugh blinked, confused by the sudden change in topic.

“The fat guy? Isn’t he missing?”

“I saw Theodore and Amelia at the hospital the other day,” Griffin said quietly.

“That crippled Alpha… his aura was terrifying. I didn’t want to complicate matters right then, so I withdrew.”

him to clear Jasper’s name.”

“Who would believe a confession made under duress?”

Griffin didn’t argue further.

He leaned back, his mind calculating the odds.

The evidence regarding the actress’s case had already been destroyed.

The key witness for the scandal involving the male star, Yves–his female assistant–was dead.

And Zoey? She was too terrified for her life to ever flip her testimony.

“Let’s see,” Griffin murmured to himself.

“I want to see how she plans to turn the tables against such overwhelming evidence.”

At noon, the sun hung high over the city.

Amelia pushed Theodore’s wheelchair down the hallway of a modest apartment building.

They stopped in front of a familiar door.

It was Jasper’s residence.

As soon as they entered, Jasper rushed over, his face pale with guilt.

“I am so sorry,” Jasper blurted out, his voice trembling.

“The scandals… the negative press… I’ve dragged the company down.”

Amelia raised a hand, gently interrupting his apology.

“Jasper, listen to me,” she said, her voice calm and soothing.

“I chose you for the villain role in *Rise of the Azure* for a reason.”

She looked him directly in the eyes.

“I investigated everything beforehand. I know those ‘dark secrets‘ are nothing but slander from your

competitors.”

Jasper looked at her, stunned by her unwavering trust.

Inside Amelia’s mind, her silver wolf, Ava, let out a soft huff.

*This kid’s heart is too soft,* Ava grumbled. *He is definitely not suited for lying.*

Amelia prepared to move toward the bedroom, but Theodore raised a hand.

He gestured to Marcus, who was standing silently behind the wheelchair.

Marcus stepped forward and handed a pristine envelope to Jasper.

It was stamped with the Stone family crest.

“This is an invitation to Amelia’s birthday banquet,” Theodore said.

Jasper took the invitation, staring at the wax seal.

“Thank you,” he whispered.

“You are my brother,” Theodore said, his tone gentle but laced with hidden meaning. “There is no need for

formalities between us.”

Theodore paused for a beat, watching Jasper closely.

“Do you plan to bring Uncle Mason with you?” he asked casually.

Jasper stiffened slightly.

He fell into thought, his fingers tightening around the heavy paper.

After a moment, he shook his head.

“No,” Jasper said quietly. “Uncle M… he has lived as a rogue for a long time. He isn’t used to lively occasions filled with Alphas.”

“That is a shame,” Theodore said, feigning regret.
