Chapter 159: Ronan is Missing

Chapter 159: Ronan is Missing

(Amelia’s POV)

Before I could say a word to Natasha, a familiar yet annoying voice cut through the air.

That’s right. Amelia is the Shadow Apothecary.

Natasha and I turned our heads in unison. Standing in the doorway of the VIP suite was none other

than Damien Blackwood.

My jaw tightened. The once highandmighty Alpha heir was wearing a bright orange pizza delivery uniform. He held a thermal bag in one hand, looking completely out of place.

There is no werewolf in this world more proficient in poisons and antidotes than her,Damien continued, his eyes fixed on me with a strange intensity. The wolfsbane toxin she brews has a unique formula. Only she can cure it.”

I raised an eyebrow. I was about to deliver a scathing remark when Damien suddenly glanced at the cheap digital watch on his wrist.

His face went pale. Crap, the delivery time!

He looked at me with desperate urgency. Amelia, you have to wait for me here. I need to deliver this pizza upstairs. I’ll come back immediately and explain everything!

He didn’t wait for my response. He turned and sprinted down the hallway like a gust of wind.

I let out a cold laugh internally. Did he really think I would sit here like an obedient puppy?

I glanced at Natasha and tilted my head toward the exit. Let’s go.

Natasha nodded, suppressing a giggle. We grabbed our bags and quickly left the box, vanishing before Damien could return to harass me.

We settled into the back of the sedan as the driver pulled away from the auction house. Natasha stared at me, her large golden eyes shining with pure adoration.

Amelia, you are absolutely incredible!she exclaimed, bouncing slightly in her seat.

Not only are you a medical genius, but you control deadly toxins like they are toys, she continued.

If I were a male Alpha, I would be chasing you just as crazily as that ***t Damien.

I chuckled softly, shaking my head.

Natasha’s expression shifted to one of gloating satisfaction. Ethan and Celine must be regretting everything right now. Their guts are probably turning green. Their lives are literally in your hands.

She looked at me, her eyes narrowing with realization. She had figured out my earlier play.

You provoked Ethan on purpose back there,” Natasha said, her voice filled with awe. You used his desperation to send him after Victor.

It was a perfect borrowed bladestrategy, she praised. You get Ethan to fight that mad dog Victor, and we just sit back and watch the show.

I looked at the young shewolf. A genuine smile touched my lips.

You are very smart, Natasha,” I complimented her. You can read my intentions clearly.

Natasha blushed, looking both shy and thrilled by the praise. Inside my mind, my wolf, Ava, wagged her tail, thumping against my ribs in approval of this clever little follower.

Meanwhile, Damien Blackwood was out of breath. He sprinted to the designated VIP suite on the top floor and kicked the door open.

Pizza delivery!he announced, panting.

The room fell silent. Damien froze. Sitting around the luxurious table were not hungry businessmen, but his own sister, Penelope Blackwood, and several of her socialite friends.

Penelope looked up from her plate, a smirk playing on her lips. Damien felt a rush of humiliation flood his veins.

Did you order this pizza just to laugh at me?he demanded, his voice shaking with anger. Penelope elegantly cut a small piece of steak. She shrugged with exaggerated innocence.

I just had a sudden craving for this specific brand, she drawled. Who knew they would send my dear brother to deliver it?

Damien didn’t believe a word of it. The Blackwood family developed this delivery platform. It would be child’s play for Penelope to assign him this specific order.

Penelope looked him up and down, her eyes lingering on his cheap uniform with disdain. Look at

you. Aside from delivering food, you are useless.

Damien straightened his back. He gripped the empty thermal bag tighter.

I am pursuing my true love,he retorted, his eyes burning with determination. There is nothing wrong with that. For Amelia, I would deliver pizzas for the rest of my life if I have to.”

Penelope scoffed, rolling her eyes. She waved her hand dismissively, like shooing away a fly.

Go on then, she said coldly. Go deliver

Our little pizzas.

Damien didn’t waste another second. He spun around and rushed out the door, desperate to get

back to the Rat Suite to find Amelia.

When Damien burst back into the previous suite, he was met with silence. The room was empty.

Nohe groaned.

Panic set in. He pulled out his phone and began frantically calling Amelia. When she didn’t answer, he started typing iMessages, his fingers flying across the screen.

In the moving car, Amelia’s phone buzzed incessantly. She looked down at the screen. It was filled with walls of text from Damienapologies, confessions, and begging requests to meet.

Amelia frowned, feeling a wave of irritation. Replying felt nauseating, but ignoring him meant the phone wouldn’t stop vibrating.

Give me the phone,” Natasha said, holding out her hand. I’ll handle this pest for you.Amelia hesitated for a second, then handed the device over. Ignoring him wasn’t a longterm

solution anyway.

Natasha grinned mischievously. She tapped away, mimicking Amelia’s tone perfectly.

*Stop bothering me. I am busy accompanying my Mate, Theodore. I am deleting this number. If you have urgent business, contact my new number.*

She hit send. Then, she quickly typed in a string of digits and hit send again.

It was her own phone number.

Chapter 150Renan is Missing

At the same time, the heavy doors of The Gilded Cage, the capital’s most exclusive private club,

swung open.

Marcus walked out hurriedly. His face was grim as he pulled open the door of a black luxury sedan

waiting at the curb.

Inside the car, Theodore Crimson sat with his eyes closed. Even in repose, he radiated a

suffocating Alpha aura that made the air heavy.

Alpha,Marcus said, keeping his voice low.

Theodore didn’t move, but his ear twitched.

The wolves we poisonedthey finally talked,Marcus reported. But we are too late. They confessed that early this morning, another group beat us to it. Ronan has been taken.Theodore’s eyes snapped open. His golden pupils flashed with a terrifyingly cold light.

He stared straight ahead. Who else would specifically target Ronan?

Taking his ambitious, troublemaking brother didn’t make sense for a simple ransom.

Theodore narrowed his eyes. The net closing around the Crimson Moon Pack was far more complex than he had anticipated.
