begin.

I picked up my pen.

I signed my name on the first application. Then the next. I didn’t hesitate for a second.

“Starlight’s compensation is already above industry standards,” I said as I signed. “Since they chose

to betray the team for profit, they must bear the consequences.”

I finished signing the last one and handed the stack back to a stunned Anya.

“Send these back to them immediately,” I ordered. “I don’t need them.”

Once Anya left, I called Silas again.

“I have a new order,” I said. “Deploy personnel from **The Network** to Starlight Entertainment to

fill the vacancies.”

There was a long silence on the other end.
