Chapter 242: The Love Story
Chapter 242: The Love Story
(Author’s POV)
Griffin stood tall in the dim hallway, looking down at Celine who lay groveling at his feet. His expression was one of utter contempt.
Celine, however, saw something else.
Years of living in the Stone family, navigating the treacherous currents of favor and disdain, had taught her one crucial skill: reading people. Behind Griffin’s cold, grey eyes, she caught a flicker of opportunity. It wasn’t mercy. It was utility.
“You say you killed your biological father?” Griffin asked. His voice was flat, betraying no emotion.
Celine swallowed the blood in her mouth. She nodded heavily.
“Yes… I killed him.” Her voice trembled, but her gaze was firm.
Griffin’s lips curled into a faint, chilling smile. He began to slowly twist the heavy family signet ring
on his pinky finger.
“Very good,” he said softly. “What I need is exactly a lunatic like you. Someone ruthless enough to
kill their own blood.”
He took a step closer, looming over her.
“I can have someone clean up the trash inside,” he said, tilting his head toward the apartment
where Chuck’s body lay. “I can make him disappear completely.”
Celine’s eyes widened with hope.
“But in exchange,” Griffin continued, his voice dropping to a business–like tone, “you become my
pawn.”
He laid out his terms. Next year, he would be hosting the “Secret Garden” feast on his private island. He needed a supply of young, beautiful girls for the elite Alphas of the capital to enjoy.
“The Drake family is trying to go legitimate,” Griffin explained with a sneer. “I cannot get my hands dirty with this.”
He pointed a finger at her. “You are the perfect proxy. You will recruit them under the guise of ‘drug trials‘ or modeling gigs.”
Celine listened intently.
“If things go south,” Griffin added casually, “you and Adrian Stone will be the scapegoats. We will

frame Stone Botanicals for everything”
He leaned down, offering the final bait. “Do this job beautifully, and I will give you a reward. I will let you kill Amelia Stone with your own hands,”
The name acted like a shock to her system. Celine felt her dead heart suddenly beat again. The despair vanished, replaced by a burning need for vengeance against the woman who had ruined
her life.
“I’ll do it,” she rasped. “I accept the deal.”
Griffin straightened up, satisfied. He turned to his assistant, Wade, who stood silently behind him.
“Wade, take her to the underground clinic first,” Griffin ordered. “Fix her ruined face. Then send a
crew to deal with the corpse.”
Wade nodded. “Yes, Alpha.”
Griffin turned to leave. Celine, watching his powerful back, felt a sudden urge to prove her worth. She needed to show him she was loyal, that she was useful.
“Mr. Drake!” she called out, scrambling to her knees “I want to tell you a secret.”
Griffin paused.
“Your fiancée, Jade York… she is actually with Amella,” Celine said hurriedly. “She doesn’t love you. Last time, she was the one who deliberately helped Amelia take me away.”
The air in the hallway seemed to drop below freezing.
Griffin slowly turned his head. His eyes were dark pools of violence.
He crooked a finger, beckoning Celine.
Celine’s heart leaped. She thought she had earned a reward. She crawled forward, a sycophantic smile forming on her lips.
Just as she reached him, Griffin’s leg lashed out.
*Thud!*
He kicked her viciously in the stomach.
“Argh!” Celine collapsed sideways, clutching her abdomen. She curled into a fetal position, gasping for air as pain radiated through her body.
Griffin looked down at her coldly.
“If you want to live, keep that foul mouth shut,” he hissed. “Do not presume to discuss my property.” Griffin turned and walked out of the building without another glance. He slid into the back seat of

the waiting black luxury car.
Wade got into the driver’s seat and started the engine. As the car hummed to life, Wade glanced at the rearview mirror.
“Alpha,” he asked carefully, “should we go confront Miss York?”
Griffin looked out the window at the passing streetlights. His expression was unreadable.
“No need,” he said softly. “Since that bitch wants to be disobedient, let her be.”
His fingers tapped rhythmically on his knee.
“When the time is right, I will capture both her and Amelia. I’ll put suppression collars on them and throw them in the dungeon. They will make excellent sex slaves.”
Wade gripped the steering wheel tighter. He was shocked by the Alpha’s madness but dared not speak. He drove the car into the night.
On the sidewalk, Celine slowly pulled herself up. She watched the taillights of the luxury car disappear into the distance.
She stood alone in the cold wind, her body aching, but her mind clear.
Her eyes burned with a twisted, consuming hatred. She swore an oath to the dark sky: as long as
she had breath in her body, she would make these arrogant Alphas pay.
Location: The Stone River Pack House
(Amelia’s POV)
Monday morning arrived with a gentle warmth.
Sunlight streamed through the floor–to–ceiling windows, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. I woke up in my large, soft pink bed, feeling refreshed.
Beside the window, a flash of emerald green caught my eye. My pet snake, Green, was slithering along the sill. He skillfully used his tail to roll up the automatic blinds for me.
“Good morning, Green,” I murmured.
I got out of bed and went through my morning routine, feeding my pets.
*Knock, knock.*
A gentle rap sounded on my door.
“Come in,” I called out.
The door opened, and my adoptive mother, Seraphina, walked in. She was holding a stack of clothes in her arms, and the scent of fresh lavender wafted into the room with her.

“Amelia, I brought your laundry,” she said with a warm smile. She placed the neatly folded clothes
on the chaise lounge.
“By the way, your birthday is coming up soon,” she mentioned.
I paused, holding a water bowl. “It is?”
“Yes,” Seraphina nodded. “I’ve been thinking about the banquet. We don’t want a repeat of the last
party where you and someone else wore the same dress. That was awkward.”
I nodded in agreement. “Definitely.”
“So, Seraphina continued, her eyes twinkling with excitement. “I decided to take matters into my own hands. I’m going to use my free time to design a bespoke gown just for you.”
My eyes widened in surprise.
“Mom, you know how to design clothes?” I asked. I had never seen her draw or sew before.
Seraphina laughed softly. “You might not know this, but when I went to university, I attended a human college. My major was actually Fashion Design.”
She smoothed the duvet cover absentmindedly. “That’s actually how I met your father, Jaxon.” My curiosity spiked instantly. Jaxon Stone, the imposing elder of the pack, the feared warrior… I couldn’t imagine him in a college setting.
“Really?” I sat down next to her. “Tell me everything. I promise I won’t laugh at Dad.”
Seraphina chuckled. “Well, back then, your father wasn’t the commanding Alpha figure he is now. He was a complete nerd.”
“A nerd?” I gasped.
“Oh yes,” Seraphina nodded. “He wore these terrible, ill–fitting suits every day. And he always buttoned his shirt all the way to the very top button. He looked so rigid and old–fashioned.”
I stifled a giggle.
“So, the school was hosting a fashion design showcase,” Seraphina continued. “I needed a male model, and I dragged him into it. I promised him that if I won first place, I would use the prize money to buy him the new equipment he wanted.”
A youthful blush appeared on her cheeks.
“Then?” I asked eagerly. “What happened?”
