Chapter 247: The Alpha’s Appeal
Chapter 247: The Alpha’s Appeal
(Amelia’s POV)
“Ms. Stone, really, everyone is staying voluntarily,” Anya explained, her face slightly flushed.
She gestured to the office floor. “We have a lot of work to catch up on.”
Several female employees nearby nodded vigorously in agreement.
I smiled, but I wasn’t fooled.
I knew exactly why they were sacrificing their lunch break.
Their eyes kept darting toward the man in the wheelchair beside me.
Theodore Crimson. The heir to the Crimson Moon Pack.
For ordinary employees like Anya, seeing a figure of such immense power and legendary status was a
once–in–a–lifetime event.
If I hadn’t taken over Starlight Entertainment, they likely never would have breathed the same air as an
Alpha King.
“Is that so?” I said, my tone teasing. “Such dedication is truly commendable.”
I didn’t expose their little lie.
I grabbed the handles of Theodore’s wheelchair and pushed him toward the elevators.
“You know,” I said as the doors closed, shutting out the staring eyes. “If you came to sit in the office every
day, I bet attendance would be perfect.”
Theodore looked up at me.
“Oh?”
“Efficiency would absolutely double,” I joked. “Everyone wants to impress the Alpha.”
We reached the ground floor and exited the building.
I paused by the car and looked back up at the second floor.
Just as I suspected.
Behind the glass windows of the office area, faces were pressed against the pane.
Several employees were craning their necks, trying to get one last look at him.
When they saw me turn around, panic ensued.
They didn’t just step back; they scrambled away like startled rabbits.

I saw one grab a stapler and pretend to read it like a document.
Theodore followed my gaze and let out a low, deep chuckle.
“I seem to recall a certain someone warning me to protect myself from being taken advantage of,” he
drawled.
He raised an eyebrow at me.
“And now you are planning to use my Alpha charm to buy your employees‘ loyalty?”
I shrugged, feeling absolutely no guilt.
“It comes with the territory,” I replied matter–of–factly.
Marcus opened the car door, his expression stoic.
I stepped back.
“Goodbye, Mr. Crimson,” I said formally.
“Goodbye, Ms. Stone,” he replied.
Our voices carried a layer of intimacy and shared amusement that only we understood.
Marcus watched the exchange silently.
He thought to himself that the outside world, terrified of Theodore’s ruthlessness, would never believe
how indulgent the Alpha King was with his mate.
(Author’s POV)
Meanwhile, inside the luxurious conference room of Gale Entertainment.
Alpha Arthur York watched with bated breath as the famous Director Bruno signed his name on the
contract.
Arthur immediately signaled his assistant to release the press release.
“Director Bruno,” Arthur said, grasping the man’s hand excitedly. “The future of our company relies on you.”
Bruno pulled his hand back, looking bored.
“Let’s be clear,” Bruno sneered. “I am only slumming it here because of Griffin Drake.”
He adjusted his silk tie.
“Mr. Drake promised me an invitation to the ‘Secret Garden‘ if this collaboration succeeds,” Bruno stated
arrogantly. “That is the only reason I am here.”
Bruno was desperate to climb the social ladder, and that mysterious gathering was his ticket.
Arthur’s smile stiffened, but he nodded.
“Of course,” Arthur gravely emphasized. “But time is of the essence.”

He leaned forward.
“We must film a series similar to Amelia Stone’s *Treatment Diary* immediately. We have to release it
before she does.”
Arthur’s eyes were cold.
“We need to crush her momentum completely.”
Bruno scoffed, leaning back in his chair.
“Amelia Stone? She is just a spoiled princess who thinks money can buy talent,” he mocked. “She doesn’t
know the cruel rules of this industry.”
He waved his hand dismissively.
“She will fall flat on her face. I guarantee it.”
Arthur looked satisfied.
He believed Starlight Entertainment had been drained of all its talent. Amelia had no cards left to play.
(Amelia’s POV)
At three in the afternoon, a black SUV pulled up to the curb outside Starlight Entertainment.
The doors opened, and five people stepped out.
There was a young couple in casual wear, a steady–looking middle–aged pair, and a girl with a baby face
chewing gum.
They walked straight into the lobby.
Anya, ever the diligent secretary, intercepted them.
“Excuse me, do you have an appointment?” she asked.
The baby–faced girl popped a bubble.
“We’re here to help Amelia,” she said casually.
Anya frowned, looking the girl up and down.
“This is a place of business,” Anya said sternly. “Minors are not allowed in the working area.”
The girl’s jaw dropped.
She crossed her arms defensively and rolled her eyes so hard it looked painful.
“I am twenty–five years old!” she snapped. “I’m older than your boss!”
The employees in the lobby gasped.
She looked fifteen at most.

The middle–aged woman beside her sighed and pulled out an ID card, showing it to Anya to verify the age.
While they waited for me to come down, the staff gathered around, their curiosity piqued.
“So, which company did you guys come from?” one employee asked.
The baby–faced girl waved her hand.
“Oh, just a small company not worth mentioning,” she said with mock humility.
She was laughing inside. They were from the global alliance, the top organization in the world.
“Indeed, just a small company,” my voice rang out.
I strode in with effortless confidence, joining the group.
The moment the five of them saw me, their lazy demeanor vanished.
They snapped to attention instantly.
“Ma’am,” they greeted in unison, bowing their heads slightly.
It wasn’t loud, but the discipline was palpable.
The employees stared, stunned by the sudden professional shift. They couldn’t figure out what kind of
hidden identity I had to command such respect.
I looked them over.
“You know the mission?” I asked.
The baby–faced girl, Berry, blinked her big eyes.
“Don’t worry, Ma’am,” she vowed. “We will make *Treatment Diary* renowned throughout the werewolf
world.”
The surrounding staff looked at her with wide eyes.
They thought she was bragging even harder than Director Bruno next door.
I smiled confidently.
“I know,” I said to Berry and her team. “You’ll be punching below your weight for a while here.”
Anya and the other employees stood there, completely confused.
They couldn’t tell if these were hidden big shots or just crazy people acting out a script with their boss.
