Chapter 290: Hand Over Celine
Chapter 290: Hand Over Celine
(Theodore’s POV)
Amelia’s words struck me like a physical blow.
I took the file from her hand, my fingers trembling slightly.
I stared down at the photograph of Jasper Calder.
Deep inside my chest, my wolf, Logan, let out a low vibrating rumble.
It wasn’t a growl of aggression. It was a sound of resonance, a call to our own blood.

The man in the photo looked melancholic. His jawline was softer than mine, lacking the harshness of years spent in battle.
But I looked closer. I stared into his eyes.
Beneath the dullness of his expression, deep within the pupils, I caught it.
A flicker of gold.
That specific, molten shade belonged only to the Crimson bloodline.
“Do you see it?” Amelia asked softly.
She was watching me closely, sensing the sudden turmoil in my aura. “The facial similarities?”
I nodded slowly, my grip on the file tightening until the paper crinkled.
“I see it,” I whispered.
I scanned the data on the page. His birthday caught my attention immediately.
It was exactly one month after the day my brother had been stolen.
My mind raced, connecting the dots with the logic of our world.
The day my brother was taken had been a full moon.
If a Rogue had saved him, they wouldn’t have known his true birthdate. To hide the child’s identity,
or perhaps to mark a new beginning, they would have assigned a new date.
The day he was found. The day of the next full moon.
It made perfect sense.
For twenty–two years, I had searched in the dark. Now, for the first time, the void in my chest felt like it might finally be filled.

This Jasper… he was my brother.
Logan threw back his head and howled in my mind, a sound of pure, agonizing hope.
I took a deep breath, forcing the beast to settle.
“I will go see him tomorrow,” I told Amelia, my voice steadying.
I didn’t wait. I pulled out my phone and dialed Marcus immediately.

“Marcus,” I commanded the moment he answered. Take a team to Jasper Calder’s residence. Stay hidden.”
“Protect him at all costs. If Griffin Drake’s people get near him again, kill them.”
I hung up, the silence of the office rushing back in.
I turned to Amelia. She was watching me with those sapphire eyes that seemed to see right through my soul.
I reached out and took her hand. Her skin was cool against my burning palm.
“Amelia,” I said, my voice rasping with emotion. “If he is truly my brother… I don’t know how to repay
you.”
I had promised her the Crimson family’s support, but this… this was giving me back my life.
Amelia smirked slightly, a playful glint in her eyes.
“Didn’t you already promise me the rest of your life? she teased.
I looked at her with absolute seriousness.
“That was for healing my legs and my wolf,” I said. “You have given me far more than that.”
Amelia’s expression sobered. She stepped closer.
“A werewolf’s life is long, Theodore,” she said calmly. “I am helping you now. Perhaps one day, I will
need the Crimson family’s power.”
Her gaze hardened, revealing the fierce Alpha spirit within her.
“My view on love is simple,” she stated. “If I choose a mate, I give everything. I hold nothing back.”
She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly.
“But if I am betrayed,” she whispered, “I will take it all back. I will destroy everything I built, and the
one who betrayed me.”
I lifted her hand to my lips, pressing a kiss to her knuckles.
“I swear to the Moon Goddess,” I vowed, my voice low and intense. “I will never make you regret

choosing me.”
Amelia smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes completely.
“I believe the you of today,” she said softly.

She knew oaths were fragile things. But she was the Shadow King. She didn’t rely on promises; she
relied on her own strength.
(Amelia’s POV)
We left the Crimson Group headquarters shortly after.
I took the wheel, driving us toward a secure location where we could hold the prisoner properly.
In the rearview mirror, I saw Glenda.
She was huddled in the back seat, her wrists bound by reinforced silver handcuffs.
She was shaking violently. The scent of her fear filled the car, acrid and desperate.
“Please,” Glenda stammered, her teeth chattering. “Miss Stone, if you let me go… I can tell you everything about the Finishing School.”
I laughed, a cold, sharp sound.
“You think I don’t know about that?” I asked, glancing at her reflection.
“Drugging young she–wolves. Breaking their wills. Training them to be pets for disgusting old men.”
My wolf, Ava, snorted in my mind. She wanted to tear this woman apart right here in the car.
“I have the client list, Glenda,” I said dismissively. “That information is worthless to me.”
Glenda paled. She realized her bargaining chip was expired.
She gritted her teeth, desperation clawing at her throat.
“There’s more!” she cried out. “Griffin isn’t just selling girls!”
I kept my eyes on the road, but my ears perked up.
“He runs the ‘Secret Garden,” Glenda blurted out.
“It’s a party. An underground gathering held every April.”
She spoke faster now, terrified I would stop listening.
“The location changes every year. Only the top Alphas get invited. Griffin signs the invites personally,”
“There are no laws there,” she whispered. “Just power and dark desires. Anything goes.”

She leaned forward as much as the restraints allowed.
“Next year… the rumors say it will be on a private island near the Stone River territory.”
I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel.
The Secret Garden.
Even
my network as the Shadow King hadn’t penetrated that circle. It was too insular, too
paranoid.
This was interesting.
I didn’t speak. I let the silence stretch, weighing the value of this new intelligence.
Glenda saw my hesitation. She knew she needed something more personal to seal the deal.
“Celine!” she shouted suddenly.
I frowned. The name was like vinegar in my mouth
“What about her?” I asked, my voice dropping an octave. “The Imposter is with you?”
It seemed impossible. Celine prided herself on being the high–born daughter of the Stone family.
“Griffin threw her to me,” Glenda explained hurriedly
“He said she was useless to him now. But she has value for the school.”
Glenda’s eyes darted around, manic with fear.
“She was raised as a Stone,” Glenda continued. “She knows etiquette. She knows how to walk, talk,
and act like a lady.”
“Griffin told me to use her to groom the other girls. To teach them how to pretend to be high–society wives.”
A cruel irony. The fake daughter teaching others how to be fake.
I let out a dark chuckle.
Glenda saw the shift in my mood. She saw the opportunity.
She looked at me through the mirror, her eyes pleading.
“I know Celine has framed you many times,” Glenda said, her voice trembling. “As long as you let me go, I can hand Celine over! You can deal with her at your will!”
