Despite his physical frailty, he grabbed Jasper and yanked the young man behind him, shielding him with his own scarred body. His weathered eyes locked onto Theodore, filled with a primal, terrified rage. A low, garbled roar tore from his throat–a classic defensive stance of a wolf facing a deadly intruder. Theodore frowned, his eyes narrowing in confusion at such specific, targeted hostility.

“Uncle Mason, it’s okay!” Jasper stammered, stepping forward to soothe the trembling older man. “This is Theodore Crimson. He’s from the Crimson Moon Pack in the North. He’s the Alpha heir.”

The name ‘Crimson‘ acted like a physical blow. Uncle Mason froze for a split second, then his agitation exploded. He began making rapid, complex hand gestures, his fingers flying in a blur.

Jasper opened his mouth to interpret, but he was too slow.

“He is asking who you are,” I said calmly, stepping into the tension. “And he wants to know exactly what you are doing in his house.”

The moment the words left Amelia’s lips, the rage in the old man’s face collapsed. It was replaced

Inside me, Logan let out a low, mourning whine. My wolf felt it. The blood resonance was

“I am sure of it,” I said, my voice steady. “Jasper is my brother. I have come to take my family

home.”

“The DNA test isn’t back yet,” Jasper started nervously.

I raised a hand to stop him, my gaze fixed on Mason.
