Amelia directly arranged for the exhausted Zoey to stay with Berry for the night. Berry was a highly skilled
member of the global alliance organization.
Currently, Amelia had summoned her back to the city to help out at Starlight Entertainment. Amelia specifically instructed the energetic, baby–faced Berry to protect Zoey from all angles.
She stressed that the frightened actress’s personal safety was the absolute top priority. Berry immediately stood up incredibly straight and gave a crisp, respectful military salute.
She loudly guaranteed that she would absolutely complete the boss’s important order. After finishing the
strict security arrangements, Amelia turned her calm attention back to Zoey.
She softly told the trembling actress that the living conditions here were relatively simple. She asked Zoey
to just make do with the small apartment for one night.
As for all the expensive personal belongings left behind at her original place, there was no need to worry. Amelia promised to send a reliable person to fetch all of those items tomorrow morning.
Zoey quietly looked around the cozy, warmly lit, and perfectly safe apartment. The basic conditions here certainly could not compare to the incredibly luxurious villa Zane had arranged.
However, it was still vastly better than the dilapidated, drafty house from her tragic childhood. She shook her head gently and told Amelia she did not want those old things anymore.
She explained that she had enough personal savings securely held in her own accounts. She planned to go to the large shopping mall tomorrow to buy brand new daily necessities.
After Amelia left the quiet apartment, the highly energetic Berry grabbed Zoey’s slender arm. She
stubbornly insisted on sleeping in the exact same room as the fragile actress.
Berry patted her chest confidently and promised that the two girls sleeping on that double bed would not be crowded. Zoey’s traumatized mind was still in a thick daze, so she submissively agreed to the
arrangement.
Right at that highly tense moment, Zoey’s mobile phone began to ring frantically. It was an urgent, highly
demanding call coming directly from her incredibly strict manager.
The very second Zoey nervously answered the call, the loud voice launched into a fierce tirade. The
manager angrily demanded, “Where the hell have you been all night?”
Before Zoey could even open her dry mouth to offer a reasonable explanation, Berry forcefully snatched the phone. She mischievously spoke right into the device’s microphone with a dark, teasing tone.

“This is the Underworld, and I’m the Grim Reaper come claim your soul in person if you want her back,”
Berry declared boldly. After saying that chilling sentence, Berry directly hung up the phone without showing any hesitation.
She bluntly complained that this obnoxious manager’s attitude was extremely terrible and highly unprofessional. Berry strongly suggested that Zoey directly terminate her restrictive contract and jump ship to Starlight Entertainment immediately.
Zoey remained completely silent while staring down blankly at her trembling lap. She knew very well that this aggressive manager was actually a dangerous spy sent by Zane.
Since she had already firmly made up her mind to permanently escape Zane’s control, there was no reason to keep this watcher. So, Zoey slowly took out her phone and opened her popular social media application.
She formally responded to Amelia’s previous public invitation with a brave, determined heart. She posted a new, highly anticipated update for the world: “No problem, looking forward to our happy cooperation.”
Amelia returned to the grand Pack House and headed straight for the heavily guarded West House. She needed to personally check on Lance Drake, who was currently imprisoned tightly within those walls.
The tall, muscular bodyguard standing at the door respectfully reported the current situation to his Luna. He stated that Lance’s fresh wounds had been properly treated and there was absolutely no immediate
threat to his life.
Amelia reached out her delicate hand and tried to push the heavy wooden room door open. However, she quickly discovered that the sturdy door was locked securely from the inside.
She stood outside the quiet room and coldly ordered the stubborn person inside to open the door immediately. She then began a slow, highly threatening numerical countdown to apply intense psychological pressure.
When she finally reached the ninth second, the heavy door was slowly pulled open from within. Lance stood there in the doorway, deliberately showing off his toned, half–naked upper body.
He was only wearing a pair of loose, comfortable sweatpants slung incredibly low on his waist. He put on a sleepy, dazed expression, pretending he had just been abruptly woken up from a deep dream.
He aggressively tried to use this seemingly harmless and testosterone–filled posture to deeply confuse
Amelia. Inside Amelia’s mind, her beautiful shimmering silver wolf Ava let out a loud, mocking snort.
Ava felt incredibly disgusted by this pathetic, transparent, and utterly clumsy seduction attempt. Amelia
did not buy this ridiculous, fake acting performance for even a single, fleeting second.
Without a single ounce of hesitation, she raised her hand and slapped Lance fiercely across his cheek. Her palm connected hard with his face, which had not even fully recovered its previous swelling.
Lance was knocked completely dizzy by this sudden, brutal, and highly painful physical strike. His carefully calculated, manipulative scheme fell apart on the spot.

He viciously cursed this beautiful woman in his dark heart, calling her a completely unreasonable, violent tyrant. Amelia coldly warned him never to dare lock the heavy door from the inside ever again.
She stated clearly that if any deadly accident happened inside, absolutely no one would come to save him. Then, she probingly asked Lance if he missed his powerful, wealthy cousin Griffin Drake.
In order to protect his own miserable life, Lance hastily formulated a desperate, cowardly lie. He claimed he hated his cousin and wished he could kill Griffin with his own two hands.
Amelia raised an elegant eyebrow at his highly desperate and incredibly cowardly words. She asked if he also wanted to kill her, since she was the one who brutally broke his wrists.
Lance was absolutely terrified and repeatedly shook his head in frantic, panicked denial. He flattered her completely against his own prideful will, saying, “You were only knocking some sense into me – it was a punishment I deserved.”
Amelia expressed a cold, detached satisfaction with his superficially submissive and highly pathetic attitude. She ordered him to continue going to the main building for his breakfast tomorrow morning, then
turned and left.
The exact moment Amelia walked away, the fake, flattering smile on Lance’s face vanished without a single trace. He angrily kicked the heavy wooden vanity table standing right next to him with incredible
force.
The forceful kick sent everything resting on it crashing to the hard floor with a deafening, chaotic clatter. He cursed Amelia like a completely insane madman deep within his twisted, vengeful heart.
He swore that sooner or later, he would make her pay a truly tragic, bloody, and unforgettable price. At the exact same time, he felt a crushing, overwhelming wave of extreme, suffocating anxiety.
With all his personal communication devices strictly confiscated by the pack guards, he remained totally isolated. He racked his brain, trying desperately to figure out how to secretly contact Griffin to rescue him.
Amelia stepped gracefully into the spacious, brightly lit, and incredibly luxurious living room of the main house. Seraphina and Jaxon were currently sitting comfortably together on the plush, expensive leather
