Chapter 45: Amelia Is Too Beautiful!
Chapter 45: Amelia Is Too Beautiful!
(Third–person’s POV)
Amelia’s confident words stunned the distinguished guests. Some began to realize she was different from what they had initially imagined. The situation was becoming increasingly intriguing.
Celine, having already suffered at Amelia’s hands, grew anxious and instinctively looked toward Caleb. She recalled how she had deliberately mentioned her desire for that evening gown in front of Caleb, who then took the initiative to acquire it for her. If any evidence existed, the problem could only be traced back to Caleb.
Caleb experienced a moment of doubt but quickly regained his confidence, believing his broker Katya wouldn’t have deceived him with a counterfeit gown.
“If you’re so certain, then prove that the dress you’re wearing is authentic,” he challenged, his voice dripping with disdain. “Show us evidence that we deliberately targeted you.”
The guests waited eagerly, anticipating the drama. Most wanted to see Amelia humiliated, though some hoped to witness her counterattack.
Amelia didn’t immediately respond to Caleb’s provocation. Instead, she turned her attention to Gideon and his party’s seating arrangements.
“Patriarch Alaric, shouldn’t we first ensure our most honored guests are properly seated?” she asked politely.
Alaric realized his oversight. Jaxon respectfully guided the Crimson family to their seats. Through this interaction, Alpha King Gideon gained further insight into Amelia, understanding why his most valued grandson held this woman in such high regard.
She remained composed under pressure and handled matters methodically. Such poise wasn’t common, especially from a woman raised in a remote pack.
Once everyone was settled, Caleb impatiently urged Amelia not to stall.
“Stewart,” Amelia said calmly, ignoring Caleb, “please turn off all the lights in the hall shortly.”
This unexpected instruction startled the guests. Stewart looked toward Alaric for confirmation.
“What game are you playing now?” Caleb demanded irritably.

Amelia turned to him with a cool gaze. “As a future Alpha, you’re remarkably impatient, brother Caleb.”
Caleb realized his hastiness and fell silent with a cold snort. Livia glared hatefully at Amelia, muttering about her skill at turning situations to her advantage.
Patriarch Alaric glanced toward Alpha King Gideon and noticed him watching Amelia with admiration. Recognizing that his granddaughter had caught the Alpha King’s attention, he nodded to Stewart to follow Amelia’s instructions.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” Amelia addressed the guests, “to determine which dress is authentic and which is counterfeit, we need to turn off the lights for one minute. I assure you, there’s no danger.”
After brief discussion, the guests agreed, eager to see how this drama would unfold.
Celine’s supporters comforted her, suggesting Amelia was merely stalling because she had no real evidence. Caleb proudly declared that the gown he had personally acquired for Celine couldn’t possibly be fake.
Reassured, Celine feigned concern. “Perhaps we should let this go. Tonight is Amelia’s welcome banquet, and wearing the same dress is indeed my mistake. I should change.”
Amelia smiled, refusing her offer. “Why pretend now? You deliberately wore this dress to humiliate me. Since we’ve come this far, why not see it through?”
Stewart followed Amelia’s instructions and turned off the lights. Instantly, the magnificent hall plunged into darkness, except for where Amelia stood.
Her body emitted a soft glow, extraordinarily radiant in the darkness. Like a brilliant firework blooming in the endless night, she captured everyone’s attention. The gentle light wasn’t harsh but illuminated her delicate features perfectly. Under this subtle illumination, people discovered her striking features, which, combined with her evening gown, created an indescribable beauty.
“She’s absolutely stunning,” whispered one guest.
“Like an elf of the night,” murmured another.
Many regretted their earlier superficial judgment, having failed to notice her hidden beauty. They declared themselves captivated by her.
They agreed that given the gown’s stunning design, no one could claim she wasn’t wearing the authentic piece.
Hearing the praise surrounding Amelia, Theodore merely smiled faintly in the darkness. He

knew her brilliance was destined to be discovered. His role wasn’t to be jealous but to become stronger, always standing beside her as her only one.
When the lights came back on, the guests seemed reluctant, feeling the minute had passed too quickly. All eyes remained fixed on Amelia, no one noticing Celine’s terrible expression or the malice she could barely conceal in her eyes.
She clenched her fingers, staring venomously at Amelia.
The wealthy young ladies whispered among themselves, suspecting Amelia’s dress was the authentic one since it glowed in the dark while Celine’s showed no reaction. They mentioned following Madame Aurora’s new evening gown design but never knowing about this hidden
feature.
Amelia’s face remained impassive. For her, this wasn’t about showing off. She looked toward the still–stunned Caleb.
“Now you see clearly,” she told him. “The dress I’m wearing is the authentic one. Celine is wearing a counterfeit.”
