Chapter 238
Talia’s POV
I hear the two women’s conversation and cannot help but smile. I noticed them the moment I walked in, their heads bent together, their eyes constantly darting toward Richard. They kept nudging each other, whispering behind their
hands, probably working up the courage to ask for his contact information.
I lift my gaze to Richard, who is still studying the menu. The soft light catches the warm tones in his hair, and his expression is relaxed, almost peaceful.
Aires was like an unreachable moon, cold and distant. Richard is like sunshine. Gentle. Warm. The kind of presence that makes people feel incredibly comfortable just by being near.

He finishes ordering and looks up at me. “I have ordered.”
I glance at the dishes he selected, surprised by his choices. “You like these dishes too?”
Richard smiles softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Yes. When Alpha, Nick, and I come here to eat, we often order these dishes.” He tilts his head slightly. “What? Do you like them too?”

I nod, a strange coincidence settling over me. “It is such a coincidence. These dishes are all things I like to eat.”
Richard’s eyes glint slightly, a flicker of something I cannot quite name passing through them. “But when we ate together before, I had never seen you order these.” He pauses. “I thought you preferred lighter dishes.”
At the mention of this, my smile fades slightly. Old memories rise up unbidden, unpleasant experiences from before my divorce.
“Yeah, I used to think about Aires and Aeson.” I trace the rim of my water glass with my fingertip. “They have sensitive stomachs, so we usually ate lighter meals to help their digestion.”
୮
At that moment, I truly feel that divorcing Aires was the right decision. At least now, I can eat whatever I want. Do whatever I want. I no longer have to be trapped in family responsibilities, constantly thinking about how to make things easier for my husband and child.
After becoming a mother, I rarely thought about myself anymore. My needs came last. My preferences were secondary.
Richard’s deep, soft gaze rests on me. His voice is gentle when he speaks. “Talia, can you really leave Aeson behind?”

I subconsciously tighten my grip on my water glass. The condensation feels cold against my palm. I lower my eyes, hiding my expression behind the curtain of my hair.
“Without me taking care of him, he will probably be happier.”
Richard sighs softly, the sound carrying a weight that seems to settle between us. “Talia, Aeson is still young. He is at the age when he needs guidance.” He pauses, choosing his next words carefully. “Alpha is always busy with work and rarely has time to care for himself. And Imema…”
He pauses for a moment, his voice becoming calmer, more
measured.
“She has been taking Aeson out to play every time. They stay out until late at night.” He watches my face. “Yesterday, because they were out so late, Aeson even ended up staying over at Imema’s place.”
r
My hand trembles slightly. Water from my glass spills over the rim and onto my fingertips. The cold shock brings me back to myself.
Richard seems unaware of my reaction, or perhaps he chooses not to acknowledge it. He continues speaking, his tone even.
“Nick mentioned that from what Mrs. Diana Perseus has been saying, it seems she wants Alpha to marry Imema.” H pausos:23

“Lately, Imema has been the one taking care of Aeson, and Mrs. Diana Perseus appears to be encouraging a bond between them.”
I remain silent, my head lowered. The words sink into me like stones dropping into deep water.
Richard immediately apologizes. “Sorry, I spoke too much.”
“No.” I lift my gaze and meet his eyes, my voice calm despite the turmoil beneath. “They have favored Imema for a long time now. I am already used to it.”
I pause, considering my next words. “What surprises me is Mrs. Diana Perseus’s attitude. I thought she would choose a wife for Aires who was more of an equal match.”
Richard explains, his voice thoughtful. “Mrs. Diana Perseus has recognized Imema’s talents. That changed her perception of her.” He leans back slightly. “Plus, she worries that if Aires marries another woman, she might not be good to Aeson or earn his affection. That is why she is considering Imema.”
୮
He pauses. “I heard from Nick that Mrs. Diana Perseus is already urging Alpha to set a date and marry Imema.”
Although I have already divorced Aires, hearing this still leaves me with a strange sense of absurdity. Back then, if Mrs. Diana Perseus had chosen not to intervene, Aires and Imema might

have been together years ago. Instead, she actively opposed their relationship. Now she is actively matchmaking them.
It is baffling. The woman’s logic has always been impossible to
follow.
The waiter arrives soon, bringing our food. Dishes are arranged on the table with careful precision. Steam rises from the plates, carrying the scent of spices and herbs.
Once all the dishes are served, Richard finally speaks again. His tone shifts, becoming more serious. “Talia, the main reason I asked you to dinner today is actually for something else.”
I look at him, curiosity stirring, “What is it?”
Whenever Richard contacts me, he always brings valuable information. He has warned me of Nick’s schemes, revealed plans meant to harm me, given me the upper hand more than
once.
r
He gazes at me quietly, his expression unreadable. “Talia, do you know Solaris?”
Looking at Richard’s expression, I immediately understand. He has figured it out. He knows that I am Solaris.
I do not see the point in denying it. “I am Solaris.” I hold his gaze. “How did you find out?”

Richard smiles slightly, a hint of admiration in his eyes. “Someone asked me to investigate Solaris.”
I seem to have guessed something. “It would not be… Aires,
would it?”
Richard looks at me with undisguised admiration. “That is right, it was Alpha. Imema wants to find Solaris to be her exclusive composer.”
He sets down his chopsticks. “The contract is for three years, with a payment of one hundred million dollars. There are no restrictions on Solaris entering competitions or engaging in commercial activities.” He pauses. “The only condition is that, aside from Imema, Solaris cannot be anyone else’s exclusive composer.”
The pieces fall into place. So the one who had offered Electra a hundred million dollars was actually Aires.
I have to admit, when Electra first mentioned the offer, I was tempted. Signing a three-year contract for one hundred million dollars is an attractive offer for anyone. Aires is certainly generous when it comes to Imema.
From what Richard describes, Aires has provided a lucrative and flexible deal. He does not forbid me from competing or making money. On the surface, it seems fair.

But Solaris has never participated in public events. The name itself is enough to stir up conversations and drive public interest. The more events I attend, the more attention Imema will receive. Every competition I enter, every performance I give, every article written about Solaris will reflect on her.
For Imema, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Aires is, as always, thinking ahead for Imema.
