Chapter 240
Electra’s POV
I hear the knock and chuckle, turning toward the door. “Maybe it is the applicants for the interview.”
But as I turn around and see the two people entering the room, my expression freezes. My hand drops from the door handle. My smile vanishes.
The newcomers seem unaware of my reaction. They step inside casually, their eyes sweeping across the studio like they already own the place.
Imema tilts her head, taking in the high ceilings and the warm wood tones. “This place is nicely decorated.” Her voice is soft, almost dreamy. “Although it is in a more secluded area, the surroundings are peaceful. There is a lake in the backyard.” She nods approvingly. “It is actually quite a nice spot.”
Nick grins smugly, his chest puffing out. “This studio is not any worse than your previous one, right?” He gestures around. “I heard from the landlord that this place was originally a music studio as well, so it should suit you perfectly.”
Imema’s face softens. For the first time in days, a genuine smile spreads across her lips. “Then let us go with this one.” 1/7

Chapter 240
Since the vandalism incident, she has not smiled like this. The worry lines on her forehead smooth out, and her eyes brighten.
Seeing Imema happy, Nick looks like he has just achieved something monumental. He straightens his shoulders. “Alright, I will go talk to the landlord…”
I finally lose my patience.
“Hey!” I step forward, my voice sharp. “Who let you in? Do you not know that trespassing on someone else’s property without permission is illegal?”
Nick’s head snaps toward me. His eyes widen in shock when he sees Talia standing beside me. “Why are you here?”
I cross my arms, my stance defiant. “That is my line. What are you doing here?”
Nick’s gaze sweeps the room. It lands on Richard, who is standing quietly near the window, his hands in his pockets. Nick’s jaw drops.
“Richard?” He blinks, confusion flooding his face. “What are you doing here?”
Seeing that Nick has noticed Richard, Talia and I both tense slightly. Our bodies go rigid.

Chapter 240
We did not expect Nick to show up so suddenly. Richard has been secretly passing information to us for months. If Nick figures it out…
Their friendship might be completely destroyed.
I am not particularly bothered about Nick. He is arrogant and entitled, and I have never liked him. Aires is not much better. They are not exactly worth keeping as friends.
But I have to admit, Richard is a decent person. He has helped us without asking for anything in return. He has risked his relationships to protect Talia.
I do not want to see him lose his friendships because of this.
Talia’s POV
Richard thinks for a moment. I see the gears turning behind his eyes, weighing options, calculating consequences. Before he can speak, I step in.
“Whatever reason brought you here, Mr. Moore is here for the
same reason.”
Nick’s expression clears. The suspicion drains from his face, replaced by smug satisfaction.

“Richard, do you also think this studio is perfect for Imema?” He turns to Imema, his voice bright. “See? I told you. Richard has the best sources.”
My statement has successfully thrown Nick off track. He does not seem to suspect anything is wrong. After all, just a few days ago, he casually mentioned this matter to Richard.
Richard shoots me a discreet glance. His eyes meet mine for just a moment. I see gratitude there, and something else I cannot quite name.
He says nothing.
Now that the initial shock has passed, Nick quickly regains his composure. He straightens his jacket and turns to me, his expression hardening.
୮
“We are taking this studio.” His voice is cold, commanding. “I will pay the penalty fee for breaking your lease. You have three days to move out.” He pauses, letting the threat sink in. “Otherwise, do not blame me for being ruthless.”
Electra scoffs loudly. “Oh? Ruthless?” She throws her hands up. “You say that like this place belongs to you.” She jabs a finger toward him. “We signed a five-year lease. We spent over half a year renovating it. Now you think you can just take it?” Her voice drips with sarcasm. “Have you no shame?”

Nick glances at her with disdain, his lip curling. “Did I not just say? We will compensate you.” He waves a hand dismissively. “The penalty fee should be more than enough for you to rent a better space.”
Electra fires back, her eyes flashing. “If that is the case, why do not you go rent a better place instead of trying to steal ours?”
Nick remains unapologetic. His chin lifts. “Because Imema likes it.” He says it like it is the most obvious thing in the world. “You should be grateful that she is even interested in this place.” He crosses his arms. “If you hand it over now, I will even compensate you. But if you refuse and force Alpha to step in, things will not end as nicely for you.”
“For the first time, I am seeing someone steal something and still act so self-righteous about it.” My voice is calm, measured. I step forward slightly. “But since you are so determined, I might consider handing it over.”

Electra’s expression shifts. Worry flashes across her face. “Talia…”
Nick’s smirk returns, wider than before. “Now you are being reasonable!”
I hold up a hand. “This studio was leased for five years. We invested significant time and effort into renovations.” I tick off

points on my fingers. “So, you will have to compensate me for rent, renovation costs, and the penalty fee.”
I pause, letting my next words land. “You are also aware that I am preparing for a concert. Searching for a new space will delay my rehearsals.” I tilt my head. “I think requesting additional compensation for emotional damages is not unreasonable, is it?”
Nick groans impatiently, rolling his eyes. “Enough with the nonsense. Just name a price!”
I pretend to think for a few seconds, tapping my chin thoughtfully. Then I meet his
eyes
“Since we are acquaintances, I will round it off.” I pause. “One hundred million dollars.”
Nick’s jaw drops. His eyes bulge. “How much?”
“One hundred million dollars.” My voice is steady, unchanging. “Hand it over, and the studio is yours.”
The room goes silent. Even Imema’s smile falters.
Nick stares at me like I have grown a second head. His mouth opens and closes, but no words come out.
Electra fights back a grin, her earlier worry replaced by barely contained amusement.

Richard watches from the window, his expression unreadable.
Imema’s eyes narrow, studying my face for any sign of weakness.
I give them nothing. My expression remains calm, my posture
relaxed.
One hundred million dollars. Either they pay, and I walk away with enough money to fund my concert many times over, or they leave, and I keep my studio.
Either way, I win.
