Chapter 424: Chapter 424 – An omega by choice

Madison smiled gently. Instead of answering right away, she looked directly at Kylie, her expression calm and steady. "Luna Kylie... Have you ever heard of the Crescent Moon Pack?"

The question caught everyone completely off guard. Not only Kylie, but even Humphrey and Vladimir nodded almost immediately, recognition flashing across their faces.

Humphrey folded his arms while digging through old memories from his academy days. "The Crescent Moon Pack..."

His brow furrowed in concentration. "Isn’t that the lost pack?" He looked toward Vladimir, who nodded in agreement. "I remember hearing about them during our oral history lessons." His voice grew thoughtful.

"There were very few members, but every single one of them possessed extraordinary abilities. They were considered the strongest pack centuries ago." He slowly shook his head. "And then... they disappeared. No battles, no survivors, no explanation. They simply vanished."

A faint smile appeared on his face. "Most werewolf historians believe they’re nothing more than a myth."

Madison quietly listened until he finished. Then she lifted her chin. For the first time, a strange, quiet authority surrounded her. The gentle woman everyone thought they knew suddenly carried herself with real confidence and strength.

Her eyes remained steady as she looked at everyone gathered before her. "I’m not a myth." The words settled heavily over the deck, sending a ripple of shock through the group.

She slowly drew in a deep breath. "I am a direct descendant of the last Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack."

Madison lowered her eyes for a moment, gathering herself before she kept going. "My mother told me everything before she died." Her voice stayed calm on the surface, but the deep sadness hidden behind it was impossible to miss. "She told me exactly how she escaped."

Everyone on the deck listened in total silence, hanging on her every word.

"Our pack was attacked." She swallowed hard as painful memories she had buried for years came rushing back to the surface. "It wasn’t another werewolf pack that came after us." Her brow furrowed with the weight of it all. "They were strange creatures. I still don’t know what they really were." She slowly shook her head, her face troubled. "They weren’t werewolves. And they weren’t alone. They came with a powerful wizard."

The atmosphere around the deck instantly grew heavier and darker, like a storm cloud had rolled in.

"My mother was the Luna of the Crescent Moon Pack." A faint, loving smile curled the corner of her lips as she remembered her parents. "My father was the Alpha, and they lived at the east, away from the pack lands because they were capable of protecting themselves." Her eyes became glossy with unshed tears.

"When those creatures attacked, my mother said she was already pregnant with me." She looked out toward the endless ocean, her voice trembling with emotion. "My father knew he couldn’t protect both. So, he chose to protect his pregnant Luna."

"He fought with everything he had, giving it his all just to create a small opening so my mother could escape." Madison smiled sadly, her heart aching. "My father never made it out."

Silence settled over everyone like a thick blanket. Even the sound of the waves crashing against the yacht seemed far away and distant.

Now everything finally made sense. Seraphine’s natural confidence, her calm and powerful leadership, her ability to carry herself like someone born to command. None of it had happened by chance.
