Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 540

Chapter 540

She shrugs, placing Trinity next to Alanna. “I wasn’t going to leave her alone. I mean Dani is sleeping, so she’d be alone, and besides, Alanna will feel shy when she starts crying and her godsister isn’t.”

I shake my head, picking Trinity up now. I only get to hold her for a few seconds before there’s another knock at my door. This time, I already know what it’s about, so I hand Trinity over to her third mother, because Aeliana has refused to be just an auntie, not when she’s the godmother too.

Just like I predicted, Alex is at the door, announcing the arrival of Gamma Cole. I make my way downstairs, but he isn’t there. Alex has him waiting in the courtyard. I haven’t seen much of the older council lately, but the man seems to have aged like milk. “I’m assuming you’ve heard the good news?” I ask, an eyebrow raised at him. “Beautiful isn’t it?”

“My daughter was murdered, Alpha Kingston.”

“I was upset about that too,” I sigh. “She needed to rot down there day by day, until her evil started to eat her from the inside out, but I guess this is a close second.”

He shakes his head, “You put her in a trash can?”

“Trash can?” I look back at Alex. “That’s coming out of your paycheck, Alex. I said garbage bags, you could have used ten if you wanted but the can? Why would you waste it?”

“This is cruel,” he tells him. “She changed you.” He says, referring to Aeliana, but I ignore

that.

Instead, I nod. “You’re right, your daughter has changed me. I never thought a woman could be this evil, but it’s fine. My mate is okay.”

“My daughter served in the pack council and you put her in the garbage.”

“That’s where she belongs,” I deadpan. “Now if you could please roll her to your car that’d be great,” I say, turning to leave, but I remember the most important detail in all of this. “Before I forget, you’re not allowed to bury that-” I point to the trashcan. “In Mooncrest. If you have relatives elsewhere feel free to bury her, but I will not have you soil my pack land with scum like her.” I tell him. “This is the land that my daughter will soon walk on, and I’d hate for it to be soiled by the woman who caused her mother so much pain.”

“Alpha Kingston,” he gasps. “Please, where am I supposed to bury her? My entire clan is from Mooncrest, her mother belongs to Mooncrest.”
