On the way back, Natasha was quiet.

Her father’s resentful glare from earlier kept replaying in her mind.

Her father had never shown her a kind face, not even once, ever since she was little.

Natasha’d gotten used to it a long time ago.

She’d never expected her father to love her as a normal dad would.

But tonight, the loathing in her father’s eyes still cut her deeply.

She couldn’t figure out what she’d done wrong this time.

What had she done to make her father despise her so much?

Natasha was deep in her own thoughts and didn’t even realize the driver had taken a completely different route.

When the luxury car finally came to a stop, she glanced up and peered out the window.

She found herself parked right in front of Jared’s villa. ‘Wait, what?’ she thought.

“Let’s get out,” said Jared, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Before Natasha could react, he’d already tugged her out of the car.

“Wait, why… did you bring me to your house?” Natasha stammered, clearly confused and hesitant.

She didn’t even have time to struggle before Jared scooped her up and carried her into the villa.

The villa was pitch black, not a single light on.

As soon as they stepped inside, Jared leaned in and pinned Natasha against the wall near the entrance, showering her with one kiss after another.

“No…” Natasha whispered.

She resisted, pressing her hands against his chest.

Natasha turned her face away, refusing to let him kiss her.

“Wait…” Natasha whispered.

“Can’t wait anymore…” Jared’s voice was rough with desire as he hungrily lifted her skirt.

He’d been restraining himself for so long. He wasn’t going to wait another damn second.

Natasha hit Jared hard, landing several punches on his chest.

“I only agreed to hang out with you, not to come back to your place, and definitely not to do… this!” said Natasha.

She couldn’t help but protest, feeling both humiliated and furious.

Jared’s kisses slowed, and he finally lifted his head from her neck, his breath still warm against her skin.

His hazel eyes stared deep into hers. “Did you forget our three-day promise?”

‘Three-day promise?’ Natasha thought.

Then it suddenly dawned on her.

Three days had gone by.

Today was the day she owed him an answer.

But with everything that had happened lately, she’d nearly forgotten about it.

“I…” Natasha began, her lips trembling, but she couldn’t bring herself to say anything.

Finally, she squirmed in his arms. “Let me go.”

Jared refused to let go.

His hazel eyes locked onto her, burning with desire. “I’m waiting for your answer.”

Only God knew how he’d survived these three days.

It had felt like an eternity.

Finally, the three days were up.

He couldn’t wait another second to hear what she’d say.

Natasha turned her head, purposely dodging his intense gaze and those hot, eager lips

“How am I supposed to answer you if you won’t let me go?” Natasha protested softly.

Jared looked at her with raw, hungry eyes.

He braced his hands on either side of her head, trapping her between himself and the wall.

There was barely any space left between them.

He pressed his body against hers, making her feel how badly he wanted her. How impatient he was for her to finally accept him.

“Jared…” Natasha whispered, her voice trembling as she felt his arousal pressing hard against her.

Even through their clothes, she could feel every inch of him.

Her pretty face flushed as she shoved at him with even more force.

“Answer me. I need to know what you really feel,” Jared demanded, his eyes locked onto hers, fierce and earnest.

He reached out, gently lifting her chin, refusing to let her turn away from him.

“You’re making me feel overwhelmed,” Natasha said, her brows knitting in frustration. “Can you please stop pushing me?

With everything that had happened in the past two days, she hadn’t even had a chance to think through their three-day

promise.

She genuinely didn’t know how to respond to him right now.

Seeing her conflicted look, a trace of hurt flashed in Jared’s eyes. “We had a deal for three days, remember?”

His heart hit rock bottom.

Natasha lowered her eyes. “I’m sorry, I haven’t figured it out yet… I’m still married, and I don’t want to start something with you while I’m still tied to someone else. You get what I mean, right?”

She planned to divorce Percy first, and only then think about whether she wanted to be with Jared.

But then Muriel suddenly stormed into the company, and Jared ended up getting hurt trying to protect her.

She never got the chance to go to City Hall and get the divorce papers signed with Percy.

So, legally speaking, she and Percy were still husband and wife.

Natasha couldn’t make herself hook up with another guy right now.

And to make things even messier, that guy was her boss.

Everyone would probably assume she was another woman getting ahead by sleeping with the boss.

“I understand,” Jared said, surprising her as he nodded. His hazel eyes were swirling with emotions Natasha couldn’t quite decipher.

Natasha looked at him in surprise.

His handsome face was blank, as if none of this mattered to him.

But a flicker of disappointment in his hazel eyes betrayed him.

For a moment, his true emotions betrayed him before he could hide them.

Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.

She looked at him, her eyes filled with confusion and emotions she couldn’t quite name.

‘With his status and power, a man like him can have any woman he wants. He definitely isn’t lacking for options.

‘So why is he so fixated on me?’

“Do you really understand?” Natasha asked, uncertainty clear in her voice as she looked up at him.

Jared nodded, his lips hovering just inches from hers. “I understand, but I don’t buy that you feel nothing for me. Your body’

As he said that, his hand roamed along her alluring curves, stoking a heat deep within her.

“No, please don’t…” Natasha pleaded, her voice shaky and full of panic.

Her meds for her nervous disorder were all gone.
