Chapte 103 Make Her Divorce Him
Chapter 193 Make Her Divorce Him
Natasha instinctively shifted away, trying to keep some space between herself and Percy But the moment she moved. Percy leaned in closer, closing the distance again.
Natasha frowned, feeling uneasy. “What’s gotten into you today?” Natasha asked.
‘Is he just so happy about becoming the Grosso family heir that he’s acting totally out of character? Natasha thought Didn’ t he always avoid me like the plague before? Why is he acting so weird today?’
“Nothing. Aren’t we supposed to pretend to be a couple at your place? Gotta make it look convincing,” Percy said
As he spoke, Percy reached out and put his arm around her shoulders. He couldn’t really say why; he just felt this urge to get closer to her.
“No need. Joelle’s here too. I don’t want her to misunderstand,” Natasha said. She instinctively pulled away from him.
‘Hasn’t he always had a thing for Joelle?’ Natasha wondered. ‘Isn’t he worried Joelle might catch him holding me like this? Is this just how men are? Once they get rich and powerful, do they just want more women around?’
Back when Percy had been just the illegitimate son of the Grosso family, he had only ever had eyes for Joelle, treating her like his goddess. But now, he no longer seemed to mind pretending to be close to her.
Soon, the luxury car pulled up to Whittier Manor. Natasha got out and walked in with Percy. But what she saw next was intriguing.
Bernard, Roxanne, and Sandra were all waiting with the same bright smile. Natasha blinked, wondering if she was seeing things.
Every time she came back to Whittier Manor, she was always met with their collective icy stares. Did hell just freeze over or something?’ Natasha thought.
Her father was genuinely smiling at her, and her mother radiated an unusual warmth and gentleness. Even Roxanne, who normally never let her be, appeared a little less harsh today.
Natasha almost wondered if she’d stepped into a parallel universe. This definitely didn’t feel like Whittier Manor.
It wasn’t until Bernard, Roxanne, and Sandra all made a beeline for Percy. They started chatting him up, acting all friendly and familiar.
That was when it struck Natasha. Their sudden change in attitude had nothing to do with her; they were merely showing Percy respect. In truth, it had all been for the Grosso family heir.
Back then, Percy had been nothing but an embarrassment as their son-in-law, merely an illegitimate child.’ That was why they had married off Natasha, the daughter they had never valued, to him.
But now, Percy had suddenly become the Grosso family heir; the one calling the shots in the world of the rich and powerful. These status-obsessed elders suddenly started looking at him like he was a whole new person.
Even though Natasha was the actual Whittier daughter, as soon as she showed up with Percy, it was like she became
invisible.
Bernard, Roxanne, and Sandra were all fawning over Percy, hanging on his every word. They even pushed Joelle forward, hoping she’d charm him.
“Joelle, go keep Percy company,” Roxanne said, nudging her daughter toward him.
In Roxanne’s mind, Joelle had just been cast aside by the elite. If Joelle could snag another rich husband, that was way better than being left behind as some discarded trophy wife.
Even if it meant Joelle had to steal her own sister’s man. For her daughter’s happiness, Roxanne didn’t care one bit about sacrificing Natasha, her illegitimate child.
“Percy, I made your favorite meatballs tonight,” Joelle said, walking right up to him with a bright smile. She hooked his other arm, right in front of Natasha, making it clear she was provoking her.
It was an obvious challenge to Natasha. If this had happened before, Natasha might have felt hurt. But now, Natasha was actually glad it happened.
She had longed to break free from Percy. Turning away, Natasha made her own way to the dining room, deliberately ignoring their public display of affection.
Now, she actually hoped Percy and Joelle would get together soon. That way, she could finally go public with their divorce and stop playing along.

Chapter 193 Make Her Divorce Him
At the dining table, Natasha kept her head down, quietly eating by herself. Bernard, Roxanne, and Sandra were all hovering around Percy and Joelle, chatting away.
They were practically dying to ask when the two of them were going to make it official. Now that Percy was the Grosso family heir, he was way out of Joelle’s league, or at least, that was what everyone here seemed to think.
They sincerely hoped Percy would give Joelle, their divorced daughter, a proper future. But Percy wasn’t as warm as he used to be; he gave vague, indifferent replies to their questions.
It was like he was purposely being evasive. He knew he wasn’t the same man he used to be. He’d been married into the Whittier family for ages; not like he was some newcomer
Back then, none of these elders ever gave him the time of day. They didn’t even care that he was willing to marry in as a son -in-law, let alone actually let him marry Joelle.
But now, their attitude had a complete change; it was all because he was the Grosso family heir. Without that status, he was still nothing in their eyes.
Percy felt disgusted by how suddenly everyone was sucking up to him. He instinctively glanced over at Natasha. She was sitting there, head down, quietly eating by herself.
It was like she was completely isolated from their side of the table. She looked isolated, indifferent, almost untouchable; like she was in a world of her own.
Ever since he became the Grosso family heir, everyone suddenly put on a new face for him, except Natasha.
Actually, Natasha’s attitude toward him had changed, too. She was even less interested in him than before.
Back then, she’d at least smite at him. Now, whenever she looked at him, all he got was an icy stare. Percy felt an indescribable emptiness sweep through him.
Just then, Bernard caught Percy zoning out. ‘Wait, is Percy actually focused on Natasha instead of Joelle?’ Bernard thought, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
“Natasha!” Bernard suddenly called out, getting up from his seat. “Come here.”
Natasha watched Bernard walk away, puzzled. ‘Dinner’s not even over yet. What’s so important that he has to drag me away. right now?’ Natasha thought.
In the study, Bernard stood with his back to her, so Natasha couldn’t see his face.
Natasha stood behind him and asked, “Dad, is something wrong?” She followed him, worried it might have something to do with Dorothy. That was why she came along.
Bernard paused for a moment before finally saying, “You should divorce Percy.”
