Chapter 206 Cross the Line
Chapter 206 Cross the Line
Natasha saw Jared’s brooding, stormy gaze crash over her like a hurricane. He leaned in close, his voice husky as he murmured in her ear, “What matters is that you and I are together behind his back, don’t you think so?”
Natasha’s body stiffened. It was true that she was together with him behind Percy’s back. But she and Percy had already broken up. So, it was up to her who she wanted to be with.
“I…” Natasha wanted to retort, but just as she was about to speak up, Jared gently lifted her chin. His lips captured hers again, swallowing all the words she had wanted to say.
This time, his kiss was slow and tender; it was unhurried and calm. He was completely unfazed by the fact that someone else was right outside the door.
Natasha’s eyes went wide. She squirmed, panic rising in her chest. She never thought Jared’would kiss her with someone else so close by. ‘This is so thrilling!’ Natasha thought, her heart racing. ‘This thrill is too much for me!’
Jared clamped one hand around her waist, the other holding her face firmly in place, his grip unwavering. Natasha couldn’t break free. Jared kissed her with a fierce, dominating passion.
Feeling Natasha’s resistance, Jared leaned in, his voice a low, wicked whisper. “Do you want him to catch us? Hmm? If you do, moan a little louder.”
Natasha’s heart skipped a beat. No way did she want Percy to catch them. Feeling his grip on her waist loosen, her body instinctively slid down.
Natasha habitually wrapped her arms around his neck. At the same time, she worried he might think she was responding to him. While she hesitated, Jared kissed her again, so fiercely as if the world had vanished.
Outside the restroom stall, Percy was done and about to leave, completely oblivious to the passionate scene unfolding just a few steps away. Today was his brother’s funeral, and he still had a mountain of things to handle.
But he really didn’t feel like going out to deal with those people right now. Leaning against the restroom door, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, feeling tired and fed up.
Ever since he returned to the Grossp family, he had been living behind a mask. Brent was only his half-brother in name; they shared the same father, but nothing more.
Their upbringings had been completely different, and there was never any real brotherly bond between them. Besides, Brent always bullied him behind their father’s back. And Brent’s mother had long been mistreating his mother as well.
Now that Brent had passed away, Percy honestly didn’t feel a thing. If anything, he felt a sense of vindication, like Brent got exactly what he deserved. But since he benefited from Brent’s death, Percy had no choice but to keep up the act.
Since childhood, he had always lived a life of pretense and suppression. He couldn’t step out of line; when he was bullied, he couldn’t fight back; he couldn’t even love the person he wanted. Even lighting a cigarette at his brother’s funeral had to be done with utmost caution.
The smoke slowly spread, lingering in the damp, chilly air without fully dissipating. His phone suddenly buzzed. Percy frowned, but had no choice except to pick it up.”Hello…”
“Percy, where are you? Your dad was looking for you just now…” Lily’s nagging voice came through the phone.
Percy rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. “Alright, I’ll be right back.” After hanging up, he left the restroom.
Natasha knew she shouldn’t, but she still gave in. Jared’s kisses spread, reaching the deepest part of her heart. She fell silent, shuddering uncontrollably.
She bit her lip hard and squinted at him through her dazed, half-lidded eyes. The man in front of her was just a blur now. All she could feel was a swirling darkness, spreading out around her.
“Cry out for me!” Jared’s deep, magnetic voice suddenly commanded. “The louder, the better, babe.”
Natasha grabbed his hair, breathing deeply, but refused to utter a sound. She had no idea if Percy was still outside. If he caught her and Jared together in the stall… ‘That would be a nightmare,’ she thought.
Natasha lifted her chin, her head lolling back helplessly. She felt like a dying fish, struggling for breath. Jared finally released her, though it felt like an eternity. Her legs went weak; she could barely stay upright.
Seizing the moment, Jared swept her up in his Successfully unlocked! e restroom. Natasha had no idea where he was taking her. She was too weak to fight back
The light outside was dim…

Chapter 20 Crous the Line
The funeral was over. The rest of the Grosso family had already left to escort Brent’s ashes to the cemetery for burial.
Jared had just carried Natasha into the car. Just then, Natasha’s phone started ringing. It was Percy calling “Where are you. Natasha? I can’t find you,” Percy’s voice came through the phone.
Natasha took a deep breath, trying to sound steady. “I’m not feeling well, so I went home.”
She thought Percy would be upset by that. In the past, he definitely would have been. But to her surprise, Percy was concerned about her instead. “How are you feeling unwell?”
Natasha was stunned. “Huh?” She had no idea what to say.
“Do you want me to go over?” Percy asked.
Natasha’s mind went blank for a second. She almost thought she had heard wrongly. ‘When has Percy ever given a damn whether I live or die?’ she thought.
They had been living separate lives. Not to mention she was unwell, even if she were on her deathbed, he wouldn’t ever bay an eye. ‘What’s wrong with him today?’ Natasha wondered.
“No,” Natasha said hurriedly, as if she was afraid he would discover something going on between her and Jared. She and Percy had an agreement, and since their breakup wasn’t public yet, it was definitely not the time for Percy to know.
Percy paused for a moment on the other end of the line. At the end, he said, “Once things are wrapped up at the cemetery I’ Il go and see you.”
Natasha had wanted to decline, but before she could say anything, Percy had already hung up. When she looked up, Jared was staring her down, his gloomy eyes locked onto hers.
“So, you and Percy, things are pretty good between you two?” Jared asked, his tone practically tasting the jealousy.
Natasha shot back, “It’s none of your business, isn’t it?”
