Chapter 213 Late Apology

Chapter 213 Late Apology

Natasha stared at Percy in surprise.

Did I just hear that right? Is Percy actually apologizing to me?’ she wondered.

She never thought she would live to see the day Percy would apologize to her.

But an apology that came too late meant nothing to her now.

“Forget it. It’s all over now,” Natasha said.

She shook her head, not wanting to dwell on the past anymore.

Now that they had broken up, everything between them was already over.

Natasha just wanted to move on.

But Percy did not understand the meaning behind her words.

He asked softly, “How do you want me to act from here on out?”

Natasha was taken aback again.

‘Does it even matter to me what he does from now on?’ she thought.

If Percy had asked her that back then, she probably would have been overjoyed.

She would have given him a chance back then. They could have started over.

But now, nothing was the same between them anymore; too much time had passed.

“You don’t have to do anything. We’re fine the way we are now,” Natasha said.

Percy frowned when he saw her cold and distant expression.

“Nothing at all?” he asked.

Natasha nodded. “Yeah, we’re already broken up.”

No matter what he did now, it did not matter anymore.

Percy’s heart skipped a beat, anxiety flooding him.

He reached out suddenly, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her closer.

“Did you break up with me because there was someone else?” Percy demanded.

His gaze was locked onto her face.

It was as if he was searching for the slightest trace of a lie in her expression.

Natasha froze. “What?” she asked, as though she had just heard something absurd.

‘Percy was the one who cheated with Joelle and forced me to leave. Is this guy suffering from amnesia or what? Now he’s turning it around and blaming me?’ Natasha thought.

Percy scrutinized her with a sharp gaze. “I saw you get into some guy’s car today with my own eyes. What’s your relationship with him?”

Natasha frowned. ‘Is he seriously suspecting me now?’

“There’s nothing between us!” Natasha could not help but defend herself.

Percy did not buy it. “If there’s nothing going on between you two, why would you be eating with him?”

Natasha’s eyes widened in shock. “How do you even know I was eating with him? Were you stalking us?”

She could hardly believe Percy was being this creepy.

They had already ended things, yet he was still following her.

What made it even more absurd was that he had never cared this much about her before.

‘We’re already over, so what is he trying to do?’ Natasha thought.

Even if she really was seeing someone, it was not like she was betraying Percy or anything. They were not together

anymore.

Natasha felt that Percy had no right to be mad

Chapter 213 Late Apology

‘Guess Joelle was spot on, Percy thought. ‘Natasha found someone new so fast after we broke up.’

“When did you start seeing him? Were you already involved with him before we even broke up?” Percy demanded, his grip tightening as he confronted her, anger simmering in his voice.

Natasha had been holding back her anger for so long, but now she just could not take it anymore.

She snapped back, “Stop playing the victim! You know perfectly well why we broke up!”

Percy was always infatuated with Joelle and treated Natasha like she did not matter.

In the end, Percy even forced her to break up just so he could pursue Joelle.

Now Percy was trying to pin it all on her, like she was the one at fault.

Percy’s gaze lingered on Natasha, deep and unreadable.

Watching Natasha’s lips pout in anger, he felt a sudden surge of desire.

Without warning, he pulled her forcefully into his arms and wrapped his arm tightly around her waist.

“What are you doing? Let go of me!” Natasha snapped, her voice laced with panic.

Natasha felt an unmistakable sense of danger radiating from Percy at that moment.

She instinctively fought to get out of his hold, struggling in his arms.

But Percy’s eyes blazed with an intense, almost feverish passion.

Suddenly, he leaned in, clearly aiming for her lips.

Natasha’s mind went blank for a moment.

She was too stunned to even react.

Just then, Percy’s phone started ringing.

Percy did not want to bother with it at first.

But after glancing at the caller ID, he released Natasha, moved to the window, and picked up the call. Percy said, “What is it?”

“Mr. Grosso!” the bodyguard called out nervously. “Joelle has escaped!”

Percy’s anger flared instantly, “Didn’t I tell you to keep an eye on her? How the hell did she manage to get away?”

The bodyguard blurted out nervously, “We really were keeping an eye on Joelle, but she’s really cunning.

“She suddenly said she got sick from something she ate and insisted we take her to the hospital. But once we arrived, she slipped away and disappeared without a trace.”

“Fools!” Percy barked. “Who gave you permission to take her to the hospital? I told you, she is not to leave the villa for any reason,”

Natasha listened to Percy talking with his men, and from their conversation, she guessed Joelle had disappeared.

Percy’s feelings for Natasha were more possessive than anything else.

He had been keeping Joelle locked up in his villa the whole time.

He would not even let her go to the hospital.

His so-called love for Joelle was downright obsessive, bordering on creepy.

The bodyguard asked, “What should we do now?”

Percy’s face darkened. “What are you waiting for? Get more people out there and don’t come back until you find her!”

With that, Percy ended the call. He no longer had the time to stay and argue with Natasha.

Percy said, “Something urgent just came up, I gotta go!”

In response, Natasha merely made a sound of acknowledgment

‘I wish he’d just leave already; she thought.

Percy reached the door, then turned back to give her one last look.
