Chapter 261 Natasha’s Ex-Husband
Chapter 261 Natasha’s Ex-Husband
Natasha lowered her head.
She was doing everything she could to pretend she didn’t exist.
‘He can’t see me… she kept repeating in her mind.
But it seemed like the universe wasn’t listening to her prayers.
To Natasha’s horror, Percy was striding right toward them.
Natasha’s heart started pounding like crazy.
An indescribable tension washed over her.
Without even realizing it, she clutched Jared’s collar.
Jared sensed something was off with her.
He soon noticed Percy nearby.
“Want to say hi to him?”
He deliberately asked her, his tone perfectly balanced, playful, not too loud or too soft.
Natasha’s eyelid twitched, a classic sign she was freaking out.
She thought, ‘Say hi? Seriously?
‘Only he could come up with that.’
If Percy caught her being carried by Jared right now, she’d never live it down.
Natasha kept her mouth shut, not daring to make a peep.
All she could do was grab Jared’s shirt at his chest, squeezing it hard.
Jared let out a low grunt that Natasha heard loud and clear.
“Teasing me like that, huh? Seems like you really want to come home with me,” Jared said, his voice low and husky.
“You…” Natasha stammered.
‘Who wants to go home with him?’ Natasha couldn’t help but protest inwardly.
Out of the corner of her eye, Natasha caught a glimpse of Percy already right next to them.
She was instantly drenched in cold sweat.
She didn’t even bother messing with Jared anymore.
Her nerves were stretched tight as a bowstring.
Jared cast a dark, cold glance at Percy.
He tightened his hold on Natasha and strode away.
Percy had shown up with a bunch of people, all there for the usual schmoozing.
Right now, he was basically the moon surrounded by stars, everyone was falling over themselves to praise him.
Ever since he became the Grosso family heir, everyone around him suddenly turned into his “best friend.”
Every time he went out for these social gatherings, people were laying it on thick with their flattery.
Percy listened to it all, unfazed by the endless praise.
Out of the corner of his eye, Percy caught a glimpse of a familiar figure in Jared’s arms.
It was Natasha.
Percy recognized her instantly.
But by then, Jared had already carried her into the elevator, leaving Percy with nothing but his tall, broad back.
Percy didn’t get a good look at Jared’s face.
He couldn’t tell who it was.
But he could clearly see Natasha being carried
Percy asked himself, ‘What’s their deal?
‘And who is that guy?’

Chapter 261 Natasha’s Ex-Husband
If before he’d been chasing shadows, now he’d finally seen it with his own eyes. Natasha really did have a new guy.
And from the looks of his back and build, her new guy actually looked pretty decent.
Percy felt a surge of burning rage.
Percy stopped paying attention to the people surrounding him.
He made a beeline for the elevator.
He looked like he was storming in to catch Natasha in the act.
But Percy missed them.
The elevator doors closed right in his face.
Percy got the door slammed in his face, left standing there with nothing but frustration.
As Percy was about to bolt down the stairs, his phone suddenly started ringing.
He was about to decline the call.
But when he saw it was Franklin Kim, his assistant, he picked up. “What is it?”
He answered while making a dash for the stairs.
“Mr. Grosso, I’ve finally tracked down the owner of that handkerchief…” Franklin’s voice came through the phone.
Percy could hear Franklin’s urgent tone on the other end.
Percy stopped dead in his tracks.
He’d had his people searching for Natasha for ages, and now, finally, there was news.
“Where is she?” Percy demanded, barely able to keep his cool.
Franklin reported, “She’s in Anathan. Turns out she’s the Zucker family’s illegitimate daughter. Right after she saved you, something happened to the Zucker family.
“She left with Sandra, and life’s been pretty rough for her ever since. Still, she worked her butt off, got into a university in Anathan. She has stayed there ever since…”
As/Percy listened, he realized that woman hadn’t had it easy all these years.
Percy felt a pang in his chest.
“Book me a flight to Anathan right now,” he ordered, his voice sharp and urgent.
“Yes, sir!” Franklin replied.
“And…” Percy paused, something else suddenly coming to mind.
“Figure out who Natasha’s with right now,” he demanded.
He’d been seriously considering making things official between them.
After all, he’d taken his brother’s spot, and everything was still up in the air,
His mom was right. What he needed most now was to marry an heiress from a powerful family to lock in his place at the top.
But now, seeing Natasha with another man right in front of him, jealousy hit Percy hard.
He couldn’t shake the feeling. Jealousy gnawed at him, and he couldn’t control it.
He had to figure out who this new guy Natasha was seeing.
After Jared forced Natasha into the car, he stayed completely silent.
His face was dark and enigmatic, making it impossible to read what he was thinking.
Natasha didn’t even try to figure out what was on his mind.
Jared’s luxury car rolled up to Oceanview International.
Natasha didn’t hesitate for a second, she swung the door open and hopped out.
“Thanks for the ride. Bye!”
She waved him off from outside the car.
She was obviously drawing a line between them.

Then she spun around and hurried off.
Once inside the elevator, Natasha jabbed the close button.
She watched as the doors slowly slid shut.
Suddenly, an arm reached in, stopping the elevator doors from closing.
The doors opened up again.
Natasha was caught off guard as the familiar figure stepped inside.
She thought, totally stunned, Jared?
‘Why is he coming in after me?’
“You…” Natasha stammered, her eyes went wide.
She froze, staring at him in disbelief.
“Surprised to see me?” Jared said, his tone teasing.
He shot her a raised eyebrow.
Natasha hesitated, then asked, “Why did you follow me out?”
But what she really wanted to say was, “Are you stalking me? Planning to drag me off for another wild night?”
“Someone forgot their phone,” Jared said, waving the phone in his hand.
He dangled it in front of her, a teasing glint in his eyes.
Natasha looked up.
That was her phone.
“Give it back.” she demanded.
She instinctively reached for it.
