An Affair With The Ceo (Natasha and Jared) novel Chapter 295

Chapter 295 Give Jared Another Shot

Chapter 295 Give Jared Another Shot

Natasha felt that it actually felt pretty amazing last night.

Jared was seriously talented in bed.

He didn’t know when to stop, though.

Every single time, he wore her out.

Honestly, the experience was unreal.

It left her wanting more.

Jared noticed how her cheeks kept getting redder.

He could tell she was totally hooked.

“Did you like it?” he asked, his voice low and husky.

He leaned in closer, his voice husky with desire. “If you did, how about another round?”

Natasha couldn’t deny that she’d enjoyed it.

But another round? She really didn’t have the energy for it.

“No, I really can’t…” she stammered.

Natasha’s face turned bright red as she refused.

She awkwardly raked her fingers through her tangled hair.

Natasha thought, ‘He totally caught on that I liked it.’

“It’s fine. We can go for another round next time,” Jared said.

Jared’s deep, mesmerizing eyes locked onto her, his lips quirking up in a teasing smile.

‘Next time?’ Natasha thought.

Her face twitched awkwardly.

‘Will there really be a next time for us?’ she wondered.

“Last night, it was a one-night stand, a brief fling,” she murmured softly.

They weren’t friends with benefits anymore.

She didn’t want to do it again.

Jared’s gaze bore into her, a teasing glint in his eyes. “You think I’d give that kind of treatment for a one-night stand?”

Natasha met his eyes, her heart skipping a beat all over again.

Jared leaned in even closer.

“Want to reconsider me?” Jared murmured, his voice low and teasing.

Natasha’s beautiful eyes shimmered with uncertainty.

She hadn’t really thought about taking things further with him.

But last night, when she was feeling low, he was the one who stayed by her side, drinking with her.

And then he’d gone all in, giving himself to her like that.

She couldn’t take what she wanted and then turn her back on him right after.

She couldn’t bring herself to say those harsh rejections again.

Natasha rubbed her forehead, caving in. “Seriously, my head’s killing me. I can’t deal with this right now.”

“Here, this is lemon water,” Jared said, casually passing her a glass.

She had no choice but to take it and chug it in one shot.

After she finished, Jared reached out and gave her head a gentle rub.

“Get some sleep,” he said softly.

Natasha froze, caught off guard.

She shot Jared a look of pure disbelief.

Natasha thought, ‘I totally thought after handing me the lemon water, he’d push me to answer his question.

‘Or maybe he’d try to take advantage and drag me back into bed.’

But instead, he told her to go to sleep.

*Just sleep?” Natasha couldn’t help but ask, sounding a little unsure.

‘There’s a big difference between sleeping and actually sharing a bed with him,’ she thought, her heart fluttering.

“Do you want me to warm your bed for you?” Jared teased with a playful smile on his lips.

Natasha shook her head without hesitation. “No.”

Jared gave her cheek a gentle, doting squeeze. “Then be good and get some sleep.”

Natasha gave Jared a long look.

She needed to confirm he really meant sleep, not the kind of sleep where they’d end up tangled together in bed.

She finally let out a sigh of relief.

She lay down and closed her eyes.

Maybe she really was wiped out from last night.

Natasha drifted off to sleep in no time.

Natasha left the hotel, and it was already past three in the afternoon.

She’d woken up around one, feeling completely refreshed.

Honestly, she didn’t wake up until she’d finally gotten back all the energy she’d lost last night.

Jared was already gone.

Natasha didn’t even have to guess, he was probably off to work.

She ate the lunch brought up by room service.

Then she took a shower.

Only then did she finally leave.

There was no way she could make it to work today.

Natasha grabbed a cab and headed straight back to her place at Oceanview International.

Natasha had barely stepped through the door when her phone lit up. It was Sandra calling.

“Mom…”

Natasha hesitated for a second before finally answering.

She pretty much already knew why Sandra was calling.

Sure enough, Sandra’s voice came through the phone.

“Natasha, are you home right now? I want to come over and talk to you,” Sandra said.

Natasha said hurriedly, “I’m not home. I’m working late tonight.”

She knew Sandra was here to persuade her on Bernard’s behalf again.

Ever since she was little, Sandra was never really in her corner.

Whenever Bernard pushed her with some over-the-top demand, she didn’t want to go along.

It was always Sandra who ended up trying to talk her into it.

At first, Natasha really empathized with Sandra. She always felt for her, especially seeing how Sandra was treated in the Whittier family.

She’d cave every time, almost automatically.

Her parents would play good cop, bad cop on repeat, and she’d let them pull the same old routine, manipulating her again and again.

But as time went on, Natasha was starting to realize something.

Sandra didn’t deserve any sympathy.

All the humiliation she suffered in the Whittier family, all the times Bernard bullied her, it was always her own choice to stay and take it.

Even if Natasha wanted to help Sandra, it always felt hopeless.

Chapter 295 Give Jared Another Shot

She had thought about taking Sandra and leaving the Whittier family to start over somewhere new.

But as Bernard’s daughter, she didn’t stand a chance against his money and influence.

Sandra would never agree to leave with her.

So basically, Sandra chose to be Bernard’s side woman, letting Roxanne push her around and getting used and tossed aside by Dad.

All that misery, she put up with it by choice.

As long as Bernard gave Sandra the money and status she wanted, she was totally satisfied.

Sandra was always willing to play along for those perks.

Natasha was exhausted, emotionally and physically.

She wasn’t about to waste any more time or energy trying to shake someone who was playing dumb.

If she kept pushing, Sandra would probably turn around and blame her for it.

Honestly, Sandra might even sell her out if it meant getting what she wanted.

“I’ll come find you at your office,” Sandra pressed, refusing to back down,

“Please don’t.” Natasha blurted out, her voice urgent.

She was worried Sandra would throw another tantrum, like last time.

Besides, she wasn’t even working late today.

“Why won’t you let me come over? Natasha, don’t you want to see your mom?” Sandra said, sounding all hurt.

If this had been before, Natasha would’ve felt awful, blaming herself for it.
