“Invite her to meet me at the restaurant,” Rosalie said.

“Got it!” the man replied quickly.

Rosalie smiled at him. He froze on the spot.

A light breeze lifted her hair. A faint, clean scent drifted past him.

Her skin was pale, and her large eyes were bright and full of life.

She looked gentle and warm.

It was the first time he met her; he was completely taken in.

“What are you staring at?”

A tall, dark figure stepped in front of him and blocked his view.

He looked up and met Elijah’s dark face.

Elijah rarely smiled. When he looked angry, his presence felt heavy and frightening.
