She raised her head and said courageously, "We should still talk with her dad. If we want to survive, then we need to join our hands and think of something. Think of it like this, Dad. It will take some time for Uncle Huang to come and save us. Till then we need to make sure that we will stay alive."
"Do you think it will take Uncle Huang just a day or two to find us?"
Master Huang was Bai Qingshi’s good friend and he had some connections with the officials. If not for the fact that they were locked up in a prison cell and the matter was too high profile, Master Huang would have taken them out of the prison. Of course, there was also another matter of him preparing for the apocalypse.
Bai Qingshi pursed his lips and didn’t speak.
"You see? We need supplies to make sure that we will be able to survive till then. We don’t have it but Sister Yueyue does."
"She has supplies?" Bai Qingshi raised his head in surprise.
Bai Xue nodded and stated, "She does. That day when I and Brother Hu went to see her, we saw her eating a fresh bowl of rice and meat. Sister Yueyue has enough supplies, dad. If she is willing to share some with us, then we don’t have to worry about starving. Once Uncle Huang finds us, we will return those supplies to her."
Though Bai Xue wanted to rely on Bai Meiyue, she never said that she would take Bai Meiyue along with her when she and her family were rescued. One had to admit that her scheming mind was really sharp.
Though the world was destroyed, Bai Xue still took herself as the princess of the Bai family and was not willing to step out of the daydream where she lived a life where everyone was willing to listen to her. Bai Qingshi and the others were the same. In their eyes, this was just a small period of discomfort.
Sooner or later they would return to their old glory. They would leave this place and stay in a paradise where they would have enough water and meals to eat. Gradually that paradise would become the new beacon of hope for human society. This experience was nothing but a nightmare that would sooner or later pass.
On the other side, the survivors who came out of Bai Xue’s penthouse picked and chose the house where they wanted to live. Of course, some of them wanted to break into Bai Meiyue’s and the Lei family’s house. They stood outside of the electric door and stared at the door with red and green eyes.
It would be great if they could stay here. This house had everything that they needed. Though they wanted to break open the door, most of them restrained themselves. After all, they still remembered how Bai Meiyue had rushed into the penthouse and chopped Xiang Mei down.
Even now the life and death of that woman was unknown. They couldn’t beat Bai Meiyue.
Her children had grown up and she could only listen to them.
She turned on her feet and walked inside, where Bai Jixuan was resting with his feet spread on the couch. He was rubbing medicinal oil on the sores of his feet. He said to his sister, "These people will stay away from our home when we are at home. But what about when we leave? Wouldn’t they come to cause trouble?"
"How about catching some zombies and throwing them in front of the door?" Bai Meiyue suggested as she headed inside. "These people are scared of those man-eating monsters. They will definitely stay away from the door then?"
"HAHAHA! Only you are daring enough to use these monsters as guard dogs," Bai Jixuan burst out laughing.
Bai Meiyue smiled but she didn’t tell her brother that she was not joking. She truly meant it. She could tell that those people didn’t have the guts to kill the zombies.
"Why not give them some supplies and send them away like Meng Suisui and the other two?" Bai Zhan asked. If possible, he didn’t want to spill blood for no reason.
