"What are you looking at them for?" the man who was walking in front of Fang Qing asked with an annoyed voice. He twisted his head and pointedly said to her, "Come with me. Do you not want the supplies?"
Those words snapped Fang Qing out of her daze and she looked up at the man who was staring at her impatiently. Even though she wished to snap back at the man, Fang Qing knew that this was not the time. She could only lower her head and follow the man like a bullied wife.
The man brought her to the very back of the apartment building. This area was away from the main apartment where the residents lived. It was only when the man brought her to a small shack that Fang Qing realized that the man didn't live in the luxurious penthouses upstairs but in the small shack.
Her expression shifted ever so slightly, but she ducked her head and hid it before the man could notice anything.
"Come in," the man said to Fang Qing as he tipped his head at the small shack.
Fang Qing raised her head and looked at the dirty shack where the security guards must have stayed in the past. She said to the man, "Can't we go somewhere else?"
She didn't know why, but she instinctively didn't like this place. Even if she were to ignore the dirty walls and grimy ground, how was she supposed to ignore the weird and subtle feeling in her heart?
Fang Qing's intuition told her that there was something wrong with this place. The trees surrounding the shack, along with the dark shadows that were being cast on the shack. On top of it, cold winds were blowing past the shack, which made it even more chilling.
She did want to get hold of the supplies, but she didn't want to get them at the cost of her life.
But how could the man let go of her now that he had brought her here? He had been waiting to get a taste of a woman ever since he threw out the offer that he was going to exchange supplies for a night. So how could he let go?
He caught hold of Fang Qing's hand and pulled her inside the shack.
"You bitch. Don't you even think about ruining this good thing for me," the man scolded Fang Qing with a raging expression. Obviously, the man didn't sense that there was anything amiss in the shack; instead, he thought that Fang Qing looked down at him for not being able to find a place to stay at the apartment building.
It was not that he didn't want to stay there, but he couldn't.
Anyway, her husband was not worried about her life or death, so of course, he couldn't blame her for her actions.
When Fang Qing thought about a good meal, she let the man strip her naked and roll around with him on the ground. The two of them were busy fighting an active battle and didn't notice anything. They had no idea that next to the shack, there was a freshly dug ground inside of which a corpse had been buried just a few hours ago.
And from beneath this ground, the flesh-eating maggots had appeared on the surface; because they had finished eating the flesh of the corpse, they slowly made their way to the surface for more food.
These flesh-eating maggots were not the same maggots. They needed a large amount of flesh and blood of humans to survive. Thus, even after eating an entire corpse, they were still feeling a bit hungry. They looked around and finally found the man and woman rolling around on the ground.
The scent of their bodily fluids attracted the maggots, and they squirmed over to the shack. Soon, these black maggots with a slick and sticky head found the opening that they were looking for to enter the body of the two humans and slithered right in.
At that moment, a painful scream rang out, followed by a string of pleas but then they came to an abrupt halt.
